jbrinkm
Hi! We're booked on this one - myself, my husband and our two teens (ages 17 & 14). We have balcony cabins on deck 8 - very much looking forward to being down the hall from Central Park! My family is in the process of doing our PADI scuba certification so we can dive in Aruba & Curaçao. So excited for this cruise!!! We've never been to those islands, and we've only been to Labadee once before, 7 years ago. This is also our first time on Symphony. We cruised the last two years for the kids' spring break on Allure OTS and really love the Oasis class ships. Looking forward to the additional activities on Symphony that Allure is missing. jbrinkm
Just checked in and the earliest available was 11:30am. Also had a horrible time with the app - it wouldn't load at all. I ended up restarting my phone, logging in and out, and reinstalling the app before I finally got in. Sara O
We have the 11:30am check in time, too. The cruise is getting so close now! I'm sure the next 16 days are going to take FOREVER to go by!

jbrinkm
Our sailing is almost sold out - there are only interiors left when I check on the site. Ocean view, balconies and suites are gone. PPPJJ-GCVAB
RICH H
Day 4 At-Sea Bar Crawl Idea Wife and I are booked for the week of 03/23 - 03/31 on the Symphony OTS and I was interested in organizing an informal afternoon bar crawl for anyone of age. I figure Day 4 would be a great day to do this - we're all settled in and familiar with the ship, it's an at-sea day, and it'll be during the day. Has anyone participated in a ship of activities in the past? If so, any advice or suggestions on how to make the activity bigger or better? I have attended many crawls int he past, but never on a cruise. For the Bar Crawl - The overall plan would be to meet up at the first place after lunch, distribute the plan and checklist and plan on one beverage at each place, spending 20-30 mins at each. From crawls in the past, the time matters more during the first few, then tends to lengthen as people get to know each other and slow down a bit. Note - WATER is an acceptable drink! Nobody has to get hammered (unless you want to) - the point it to make new friends, visit as many as we can and have FUN! I have a checklist of 15 bars on the ship, organized by Deck. Bolded are the most likely 30-min stops, but I'm open for any suggestions: BARS Deck 15: Pool Bar Sand Bar Solarium Bar Deck 8: Central Park Trellis Bar Rising Tide Bar Vintages Wine Bar Deck 6: Playmakers Sports Bar Schooner Bar Deck 5: Bionic Bar Boleros Copper & Kettle Deck 4: Casino Royal Bar Any thoughts or pointers from experience are welcome. If you are on the same sailing and want to play along, let me know! Happy to have you join us. Thanks, Rich Bmullins
jbrinkm
Hi Rich , glad to have another cruiser here!!! You could check out this blog - he also organized a bar crawl. We don't really drink (me - medical issue, hubby - doesn't want the calories) and don't have a drink package, plus my parents are cruising with us for the first time and I think we'll be busy ushering them around, but your idea sounds great! Is there also a bar in the Windjammer? I don't know if you are on Facebook, but I think a lot of roll calls are getting more people there than we see here. jbrinkm
Thanks @twangster. I got the official notice today both from Royal and my TA. Tried to figure out Falmouth quickly last night having no idea what to do there. Sounds like a lot of people on our ship were doing the same thing because I originally wanted a beach club, got on to the resort for a day website that Matt recommends, and they were almost full (Hilton Rose Hall was sold out already, Iberostar had 5 spots left and none of the others offered what we wanted). Doesn't look like there are any other ships there with us - at least none according to Cruise Mapper - but since they also haven't updated to show Symphony, I guess there could be another ship rerouted there as well that I can't see. When I got onto the website, I did the agent chat because it wasn't updated yet for our sailing, and the agent said "everyone from your ship is booking." twangster

Would you recommend it?
jbrinkm
We didn't end up booking it. The spots went fast. Before we even had official word (just saw in daily planner in app), the Hilton was sold out and the second choice had only 5 spots. The others didn't end up looking great. Or they were adult only. We did a Viator tubing activity. I'm doing a live blog!
camjen24
@jbrinkmI am looking at Iberostar Rose Hall through resorts for a day. Is resorts for a day a good place to book through? And do you know how Iberostar is?
jbrinkm
Matt recommended resorts for a day in a blog post. I think iberostar was our second choice but didn't look as fun for my teens. And, we had 6 in our party. But the reviews look good! Maybe someone else on the blog has done this & been there - it might be worth an ask in the shore excursions forum!
