Next cruise I do not want/need the full drink package but thinking of doing one of the non-alcoholic packages instead. The soda package seems pretty clear that it is just the freestyle machines and then "fountain soda and refills at any venue". The refreshment package reads mostly the same with the addition of a bunch of other options that I don't really need Does anyone know if either package includes canned soda or is it just freestyle/fountain for both ? But, especially depending on the ship, canned sodas may still be available. We both have/had the Refreshment Package, Prime free Casino drinks, and Diamond Drinks. On Symphony recently, canned sodas were readily provided, anywhere. On Navigator, canned sodas are nearly universally denied, unless a passenger just happens to be tight with a server or bartender. Thanks From one soda snob to another !! Technically, the only one of the beverage packages that includes canned soda is the DBP. HOWEVER, it is often possible to get a canned soda if you have another one of the beverage packages....particularly if you are on one of the ships that does not have the freestyle beverage dispensers. It's really a coin toss....I have had them absolutely refuse to give me a can before (it only happened once and it was at the WJ bar) but far more often they will give you a can if they have one. So, as with all things, be prepared for them to say "no" but excited and grateful when they give you a can !!
