RCIfan1912
I know it's not the greatest travel CC in the world but recently did sign up for the Royal Caribbean CC. If you spend what 1,000 in the first 90 days you get like 100 on board credit? Correct me if those numbers are off because I can't remember. How to you claim or cash in for that onboard credit? Is it a total pain in the butt? We don't cruise till late October. Thanks for any help.

Just go to your BoA account (https://secure.bankofamerica.com/login/signin/signOnV2Screen.go), Choose Rewards & Deals at the top of the page Then choose Credit Cards It will show you how many points you have available. Then choose how you want to apply your credits and redeem. We always choose Onboard Credit and Amenities b/c we use the money for gambling ! ...but there are other options. It used to be much more difficult when you had to do it all through the RCCL website. That was a nightmare. This is much easier. putinbay
Thank you for the details above! This is very helpful! Quick question... I'm going to have roughly $500 of Onboard Credits via my RCCL credit card for my next cruise... If I don't use all of the Onboard Credit, can this be refunded back to my credit card in points, or better yet, cash back to my credit card? Thanks! Putting 1,000 bucks on on 90 days will be easy also. 1,000 I'm 90 days gets you 250 onboard credit. I'll take that deal. Thanks again. If you redeem points for OBC, that cannot be reversed. So you want to spend it or redeem it for cash, which is what I have done at the casino. I don't know about it going back to your card. You would need to ask Guest Services. To be on the safe side, I would cash out excess. Or you could spend it before the cruise on excursions and other Cruise Planner purchases. I'm pretty sure the OBC from BoA CC points is refundable OBC and therefore if un spent it is returned to the CC you have on file for expenses. It cannot be returned to points. If you want it on your Cruise Planner to spend immediately, like pre-cruise calling to redeem points is the way to go.
