DaddyTank
Hello Fellow Cruisers I have a family of 4 (2 kids under 12) and we booked 2 connecting balcony rooms - we embark in 4 days (serenade of seas). The booking is 1 adult + 1 kid in each room. I have a max bid on 2bdrm oceanview suite (sleeps 6) and we are hoping we get it. However, it ONLY would upgrade myself and my kid and not anyone in the other room. Even if we get extra sea passes and we all stay in the suite, only me and one of my kids get the suite perks. Is there any way to have it to where me and my wife get the perks and the kids don't? We weren't able to book the rooms that way, but hoping they would be able make these adjustments after boarding. Does anyone know if RC would oblige requests like this? Seems like not a big deal since I'm not asking for more than what they offer (2 person suite perks) I just want to change who gets them. Any thoughts or experience are welcome
Atlantix2000
This is a good example of why Royal Up is not recommended when you have more than one stateroom. Officially, they don't have to do anything to help you. They will certainly give you extra keys but whether they would rearrange who gets the suite perks is going to depend on the whims of whoever you talk to. Please also consider that you should increase your gratuities to the suite's attendant. You would have 4 people in the room, but they'll only be getting paid to clean up after 2 people. Qeyton Dude
... and what will you do with the extra room that no one will be using ?
jbrinkm
I'm surprised that you weren't able to book the two adults in a room and the two kids in a room since they were connecting. Did you self-book?

Yes absolutely I figure $20/person/day is appropriate in suite?

As long as one original person on a reservation is listed this is allowed. Then if you win the Royal Up you pretty much have to move the kids into your cabin, but….it’s a big assumption they’ll allow it, and if they don’t would you be refunded?
