Casino Royale bookings Question

Recommended Posts

As a diamond plus/signature player  all our bookings are comped.  I can book an additional room for friends/family at a reduced rate also. They claim that one of the original people need to be in the additional room.  You can say that you will, but what if you dont? Do they really care? Is it policed?  I dont understand this policy.

Any booking made through Royal needs at least one original booked person to stay on that booking and any other name can be changed.
Also, you cannot put yourself on 2 bookings and expect Royal to acknowledge you are staying in 2 cabins.  (So you cannot book 2 casino comps on the same sailing in your name)

I believe the purpose of keeping an original person on the booking might have to do with reselling cruises (I could be wrong)

My wife and I each get a separate Club Royale room on many cruises. We technically put one of us in each room. Then we can add another person to each room. We link our credit card to ourselves and the other friends/relatives link their credit card. Once onboard, we go to guest services and get a "room key only" Seapass for each room (so my wife and I are in the same room). We lose the double points, but get to welcome new cruisers to our world. RCL could care less, so far. It is a bit of a pain if one room is Sea Class or above and the other one is not. My wife and I used Coastal Kitchen together and did not bring in the balcony relatives. Technically, I should have only brought my SIL with me. No issue though.

The wife and I get many comped rooms.   We usually book her a solo room (double points), and then I book a triple and book friends in that room with me.  I go get a key to stay with the wife and everyone is happy.  Yes, I know it's a little more expensive, but we are really close to Diamond+ and the friends know they are still getting a better deal traveling with us.

My wife and I are both Prime, but when required we would book two rooms, so example myself and my brother in law and in the other room my wife and sister. This will allow us to maximise the discount and when on board, we see guest services and have the sea pass cards redone.
