michaelt721 Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 Hi, Sorry if this has already been answered but I couldn't find it. Does the staff that gets prepaid gratuities know that I've prepaid or not, prior to me disembarking? Thanks in advance! Quote
CrznTxn Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 There is no visibility by the ship working staff that you have or have not prepaid gratuities. Quote
ChessE4 Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 I think the vast majority of guests either prepay or are charged by the day on the ship, so most staff assume they are receiving the default amounts unless you give them extra. From what I have read and heard in my cruising, only a small number of guests go to Guest Services to change the default amount. Quote
jeffmw Posted August 10, 2022 Report Posted August 10, 2022 Just don't be one of those people who goes to the front desk and removes your gratuities from your bill. These people work really freaking hard for what we in the First World would not consider reasonable pay. They make a lot of their money on those gratuities. SPS and PPPJJ-GCVAB 2 Quote
Traveling Mike Posted August 11, 2022 Report Posted August 11, 2022 They do not know who paid and how much. They just see an additional amount on their paycheck. Quote
