Wording to use if you get a better casino offer after booking

Recommended Posts

I just had an interesting experience, so thought I'd share. I originally had a $200 off casino offer that I used for a Sept. 29th cruise. This morning, I got a casino offer for a complimentary cruise for the same sailing. I called Casino Royale and mistakenly used the term "reprice"; they said that since yesterday was the final payment date, I couldn't reprice. I called again to get a different agent and explained the situation and she said, "Oh, of course we can change the offer that was used." She made the switch easily and I'm getting a refund, as well as having the offer I originally used made available to me again.

Would this have worked if it wasn't a casino offer? For example, let's say after final payment there was a new offer that added OBC everything else being the same. Or something even better like kids sail free.

One time I called a casino at sea number (not Royal) and didn't like what I was told about a discount I was trying to apply to an existing booking. I called again the next day and ended up with the same person. It was so awkward I gave up after that.

I will upgrade my casino offers sometimes with better offers. However, if the original offer is past its due date, I just lose that particular offer. Which is fine. I always get back tax and gratuities right up until I sail away, if cancelled.
