MikeF
My partner and I are considering booking two individual staterooms for an upcoming cruise because the total cost is similar, and we would each earn double loyalty points. Once onboard, can we just choose to stay together and not actually use one of the rooms? Would anyone question this? Same question if we were to bid and receive an upgrade from one of the rooms, could we both stay in that upgraded room without a problem? AshleyDillo
Yes. They don't care who stays in which room. However if you upgrade to something that comes with perks (a suite for example) only the person officiallg booked in the room is entitled to the perks of thay room. twangster
Before the shutdown this was a strategy to climb the CAS ladder faster. Still is. Once you reach 340 there is reduced single supplement so it's more attractive over 340 points.
Swar
We are getting tons of Royal Up offers. We book two rooms. You only pay tax and gratuities for 2 people whether in one or two rooms (more if u have over 2 peeps). We then upgrade one room to a balcony with Royal Up. Made Diamond last week. Was Gold 4 months ago. WAAAYTOOO
