Jill
Can’t decide what time to do. Wondering if it might be foggy in the morning and that afternoon might be better? We will be there end of may. Any suggestions?
HeWhoWaits
Can't speak for conditions in May, but the two time we've been to Skagway (July/August) we did the WP&YRR in the morning. It gives more flexibility to the rest of the day for shopping and sightseeing. One of those visits, I did a second excursion after lunch. JennaRCB
I did the morning and I thought that was nice because I could spend the rest of the afternoon walking around Skagway without worrying about the time I need to get back to the train. It wasn't overly foggy. On the day I went, the morning had fairly nice weather (for October in Alaska), whereas the afternoon had rain.
