CaptainPanda Posted November 26, 2019 Report Share Posted November 26, 2019 Hi, gang, going on my first RC cruise in Feb. on Explorer of the Seas. Can't stand the waiting. I know it's not exactly 'dining,' but I'm just curious to know if anyone might know how experienced or knowledgeable the bartenders might be on board. For example, if I asked for an Aviation, or a Painkiller, or a Jack Rose, do you think they might know how to make it? Or would I be better off sticking to more 'mainstream' beverages? Have the recipe handy and if they don’t know it but you provide that most will at least give it a shot. I’ve had bartenders tell me they enjoy challenging/new drinks because it helps them get better. You can tell them the brand you want and ask them to make it a certain way if it is not what you are used to. I had a drink at one bar and asked for it at another and it was made completely different. I find that when I find a bartender that I like I stick with them and they usually will have your drink started before you get to the bar.
