Kiki Posted October 24, 2019 Report Posted October 24, 2019 Hello Everyone, I am a first timer in an Owner Suite on the Explorer of the Seas. I have heard conflicting information about Lunch in specialty restaurants for suite guests (benefit). Is it just a more comfortable place to sit while you retrieve your food from Windjammers or do they actually have a buffet or limited menu from that specialty restaurant? Thank you in advance for clarifying :). Quote
WAAAYTOOO Posted October 24, 2019 Report Posted October 24, 2019 For ships that still offer this, it is just a more comfortable and less crowded place for you to take your WJ lunch to eat. There are no servers to help you. It’s rather inconvenient, IMO to haul your food all the way out to one of the [closed] specialty restaurants and we never utilized this “perk”. Nowadays, most of the specialty restaurants are open for lunch (particularly on sea days) so it’s pretty uncommon to even see this venue available anymore. Quote
Sweety Posted October 24, 2019 Report Posted October 24, 2019 We had lunch in the MDR for suites on embarkment. The key was in CHOPS. The food was excellent. We are on the Explorer in a suite for Christmas. Neesa, Kiki, Big Tule and 1 other 3 1 Quote

It is very much so appreciated. It is difficult to ascertain from the website or conversation what benefits you are actually receiving. Quote
Kiki Posted October 27, 2019 Author Report Posted October 27, 2019 I do feel that the Explorer of the seas is one of those underrated ships. It is a beautiful ship from what I can see for traditional cruising. Sweety 1 Quote
