Mandy Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Does anyone know if there are theme nights like 70's Disco nights or something on the Navigator of the Seas Cruise - 8 night cruise to Labidee, Puerto Rico, St. Maartins & St. Kitts? I'd like to be prepared.... Quote
Matt Posted February 1, 2016 Report Posted February 1, 2016 Here is a recent cruise compass from a Navigator of the Seas 8-night sailing in November. http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compasses/navigator-of-the-seas/sat-2015-11-14-0000 You can see all the events that were planned on that sailing and when it was scheduled for. karenm Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 My husband and I are sailing on Jewel of the Seas end of February for 7 nights. I know there are two formals, a couple smart casuals and semi formals. On the formal nights do most men wear full suits? My husband is having difficulty finding a proper suit jacket. Would a vest suffice? Quote

Would a vest suffice? A vest would be fine as would a dress shirt and tie without the vest or a coat. The main dining room, even on formal night, is much less formal than it used to be. I, for one, no longer take a coat with me and simply wear a nice dress shirt and tie on formal nights. bcarney 1 Quote
jticarruthers Posted February 11, 2016 Report Posted February 11, 2016 And I will one up Doc by saying I no longer even bother with the tie. My wife informed me she doesn't mind if I don't, so I don't. DocLC and Lvscruzn 2 Quote
bcarney Posted February 12, 2016 Report Posted February 12, 2016 I'm with the above two gents - just a shirt and tie. I'm not enthusiastic about paying the extra $$$ just to haul down a garment bag for a suit/jacket that I'm going to wear for a couple hours max. In fact, I'd be fine if the ships went to "all Hawaiian/Tropical Shirts All The Time". :) DocLC and WAAAYTOOO 2 Quote
Mindy5767 Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Is there any way to find out in advance of packing for my cruise, what the Theme night scheduled will be? I would really like to know if I need to pack a poodle skirt or bell bottoms. I'd hate to pack a poodle skirt only to find there will be a 70's night instead. I looked on the cruise calendar, which is where it would be with Disney Cruise Line but its not there. Now, its still months away, so that might be why, but I'd like to know if it is posted somewhere in advance. We are on the Grandeur in April 2017. Quote

Not really, but if you find a Cruise Compass from your usual itinerary (http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/cruise-compass) odds are that the same theme nights will be had on your sailing. The theme nights aren't changed up all that much and seem to be pretty consistent from sailing to sailing. Quote
