Marmaduke
Help again please everyone. I am organising things to do and places to go whilst in ports. If the ship arrival time is 10am and I want to organise something like bike hire, what time would I be ok to arrange picking up the bikes? the bike hire shop is 300metres from the port. I have no idea what the protocol is for getting off the ship at ports and how long it takes as I am a newbie. thanks again everyone.
monctonguy
I wouldn't book it before 11.....to be safe....depends on things like weather, size of ship, how quickly they can let your disembark once they have arrived etc..... Matt
Your ship's arrival time does not mean you get off the ship at that time. Usually it takes some time for the ship to actually dock and then for local authorities to inspect and clear the ship. 30 minutes is usually the minimum amount of time, so in your example no earlier than 10:30. coneyraven
Exactly .... then there's the factor of if there's a dock vs tendering, not know what ports you're referring to, it's tough to lend advice....... plus, those on RC excursions, and Suite guests go before general disembarkation...... there's a lot of factors that go into it.
