Greetings Fellow Vision of the Seas Cruisers, My husband and I have booked a private car to take us into Rome on May 21st. We are doing our own thing in the city for the day and wanted reliable transportation into and out of the city without the hassle of trains or buses. We have room for up to 4 more passengers and it is a flat fee split between the number of passegers. The car will be able to pick us up/drop us off right below our cruise ship - another nice convenience. If you are interested in joining us for the ride to and from Rome on May 21st, please check out this link (https://www.civitavecchiaport.org/shared-shuttle-service/) and look for the VandeStadt Group on May 21. We are scheduled to depart for Rome at 8 am and be dropped off near the Colosseum and meet our driver for return to the ship around 4pm near St. Peter's Basilica. I imagine drop off places and return time can be changed if needed via a discussion with the driver on the day of service. Looking forward to making some new acquaintances on the ride/cruise!!

Referring specifically to non-Hibachi variety of Izumi: I noticed Vision of the Seas has an Izumi, as does Anthem. I had the spicy miso ramen on Anthem and it was divine. I'll be on Vision in Feb and Apr 2018, in theory should that Izumi also offer it? I downloaded the menu from RC's website but didn't see it on there, but I also didn't see an indication that it was Vision-specific. The menu I downloaded for Anthem's Izumi said it had hot rock stuff, but when I went there they didn't have them... so, not sure how accurate the download menus are... Is each ship's Izumi unique, or do all Izumi's offer the same food options?

Hello everyone, we am sailing out of Copenhagen August 1st on the Vision of the Seas and would like suggestions on what to do there as we are arriving day early. Staying an extra day on the return as well. I enjoy local beer, history, local foods, beer, running to the pub, etc...

We were just informed (with no explanation) that the Vision of the Seas repositioning cruise from Cape Liberty to Galveston, departing Oct 23, 2017 will no longer stop in Labadee. We will visit Bermuda instead. Seems like a win, although it would have been nice to see Labadee since we have never been there before. Any thoughts on why this change would have been made or if it's a good thing? Here's our new itinerary: Cape Liberty Cruising King's Wharf Bermuda Cruising Cruising Bonaire Curacao Aruba Cruising Grand Cayman Cozumel Costa Maya Progreso (Yucatan) Cruising Galveston Pretty good itinerary.

So according to the image in Matt's blog post about the 2018/19 Caribbean, Alaska, and Northeast itineraries (http://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2017/03/15/royal-caribbean-announces-2018-2019-caribbean-alaska-and-northeast-itineraries ), Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ is going to get Adventure of the Seas doing the New England and Canada run (among other trips), and Voyager is heading off to Galveston. Can anyone who's been on both give an idea of whether this is an improvement, a downgrade, or just a "lateral move" for those of us in the Bayonne area who would prefer to sail out of Cape Liberty and use the money not spent on a flight towards getting a better cabin or other upgrades? It certainly looks like it's quite an upgrade over Vision. Adventure is a much bigger ship, and I see in the brochure pages on the RCI web site that they put that larger size to use with things like a water park and racing slides, golf area, more specialty dining options, etc. Plus, it was recently refurbished, so it's got all the new shiny. But how is it in person, not on paper? Is the overall experience on there better than on Vision for a family of four, where the kids are becoming older teens, or for a middle-aged couple traveling on our own? It's scheduled for the same itineraries Vision ran out of Bayonne, but will it be able to manage the same ports? Or will it have to change to some maybe less desirable ports because it can't navigate the same places that Vision could? Looking forward to people's thoughts on this. Those New England and Canada itineraries on Vision looked really nice, especially for an alternative to a typical fall foliage tour. I'm hoping that Adventure ca hold up to that.
