Has anyone ever used this? What is the amount of the discount?

We are booked to Sail the Liberty of the seas out of Galveston in Feb 2022, We are C&A diamond members and Huge RCL fans. This will HOPEFULLY be our kids FIRST cruise ever, with the Whole Family, 20 of us are booked to cruising together. We have just been told we will not be able to take our unvaccinated 1 & 2 years olds to port with us , UNLESS its with an RCL excursions.!?!? WHAT'S THE POINT OF GOING ON A FAMILY Holiday!?! We were told that if we didn't want to book an RCL excursion our kids need to stay on board. IF us adults still wanted go to port, we could leave our kids with the kids club for the day...I thought she was joking at first, Our children CAN'T be vaccinated anywhere in the WORLD.... We don't want or need to do an RCL excursion.. we have been to these ports before and just want to chill and do our own thing. Needles to say, i will be calling head office to see if this is for real... or our party of 20 will be canceling our much needed and anticipated family Holiday. I feel so heart broken and betrayed by this Bull shit policy and desparte money grab from our favorite cruise line. We can't be the only family dealing with this policy....?

Will be going on Anthem in 19 days with my daughter (17 months). 50+ friends & family going for my brothers wedding. Best excursion recommendations and things to do on the ship for toddlers? First time cruising with a little one.... thanks!

We will be cruising next May with our families on Harmony of the Seas. Our daughter will be the youngest at 2 and probably the only child with the rest as adults in their twenties or fifties. Our ports of call are Cozumel, Costa Maya, and Roatan as well as Perfect Day CocoCay. Excluding CocoCay, which, if any, of those ports would be best to just walk off the ship and eat and shop or go to a beach without an excursion? We do have some in our party with mobility issues, so a short walk would be preferable or we could do a taxi ride. If there's nothing in those ports that fit the bill for that, what excursions would you recommend for us that our 2 year old would enjoy and be able to do? Thanks for your help!

One more question from a first time cruiser regarding Harmony of the Seas. Does the ship's comedy club offer any shows that would be appropriate for teens? Show reservations for our May 2018 cruise just became available, but the RCCL website will not allow us to include our teenage children on the reservations. Thanks for your input. Jane

Hi folks, Looking for advice on a pre-cruise hotel in Fort Lauderdale for a May 2018 sailing on Harmony. Any input on quality of rooms, restaurants, pool, beach access, shuttle service to port, etc. would be helpful. Thanks

Intro/Pre-Embarkation Like so many others we originally had planned to set sail on Oasis on September 10, 2017 for a 7 night Eastern Caribbean Itinerary. Well, that is until Irma (Hurricane Irma) crashed our party. After several days of late night tweeting with Royal Caribbean's Meteorologist, James Von Fleet we got final word that our cruise would begin on September 13 and consist of a 4 night sailing to Cozumel. This wasn't our dream cruise but we were happy and grateful none the less that it didn't get cancelled. We opted to sail and receive 50% of our cruise fare in onboard credit and the other 50% for a future cruise credit. This made it a deal hard for us to resist, as it is basically a free cruise. If anyone wants to hear about our pre cruise adventure/trip/Orlando shore excursion/storm chasing, is be happy to share that in a future post. I travel with my husband, Randall and my almost 3 year old, Sarah. Much of my perspective and observations have to do with what cruising looks like with a toddler and Texan who loves the casino and avoids the Windjammer like the plague. We chose this sailing, ship, and date for a few reasons...let me explain: 1. We originally had booked Allure of the Seas for the week of Labor Day. We chose that week because of the free day off (I work so my time off is limited). We also knew we wanted to try an Oasis Class ship since we had loved our Liberty of the Seas Western Caribbean cruise last year. The girl at the Next Cruise office said Allure was her favorite ship so we rolled with it. 2. Oasis became an option only when I saw a group rate with a kids sail free promo on one of the Facebook pages I follow. So after inquiring, the price was significantly lower for Oasis a week later. Plus at the time I thought I'd be going to Puerto Rico and that gave me the chance to see my family. 3. We knew we wanted to go to Labadee And both the Allure and Oasis had Labadee as ports of call (we'll try again next year, Labadee) 4. My husband really wanted an ocien view balcony and we got a great cabin mid ship. 5. The Dreamworks Experience, my daughter loves this so it's a priority for us when booking. In the end I think we made the right choice both for switching to Oasis as our first Oasis Class ship (won't be the last ?) and for choosing to do the 4 night altered cruise. Hi, all! I'm appealing to the collective intelligence here. My wife, two sons (ages 6 and 4 at sailing) and I will be visiting Falmouth in March 2018. I've been researching excursion ideas, but I've found none that really appeal. I'm hoping you can help. My wife is not really a beach person, and with the ages of my kids, I'm not sure that an action/adventure excursion is right for us. Most of them have age limits that would prevent our youngest from going. I'm also concerned that my children would not be terribly entertained by a cultural visit. Does anyone else have brilliant ideas that would appeal to younger children but not necessarily include a beach? So far, my favored option seems to be a day pass to the Hilton Rose Hall resort (mainly for the pools with waterslides for my two little bundles of energy). However, I'm curious what else might work well. Thanks in advance!

Didn't know if there was a place to connect with other families that would be interested in a version of Disney's Fish Extenders on the Navigator of The Seas departing on 1/31/2016. We are a family of 4 and this will be our children's first cruise experience so we were looking for that extra bit of fun for them. We have had family do several Disney cruises and they are always sharing their Fish Extender experience. Anyone know of a place we can connect with other families that might be interested in the same thing? For those that never heard of it. It is a simple mail pouch you can put by your door and leave things for other families that are participating in it. It can be notes, games, made items, or small purchased items... so many possibilities (pinterest has hundreds of ideas). It just gives the children something to look forward to, getting to check each time they go by their door and see what fun things might have been left for them. You can also meet up with the families if you want so you kids can meet new friends. If anyone can point me in the right direction if something like this already exists, or if anyone wants to participate in it please comment.

I thought this would be a good topic to add as i think i can safely say that probably all of us have been to the Windjammer and it would be good to hear what you love about it and also share some tips , tell us your favorite food they serve and which ship do you think has the best one on board etc. For us our first experience of the Windjammer was last year on the Independence Of The Seas on our first RC cruise and we loved it and thanks to Matt's advice i'm hooked on Honey Stung Chicken and the Omlette Station :D . One of my wifes favorite times is around 15:30 as they finish up lunch and bring out fresh Scones with Cream and Jelly. With out doubt i would say RC have one of the best buffets at sea and considering how many types of food they serve its not easy to keep the standards as high as they do. One good tip for anyone who is new to the Windjammer is that they serve pretty good Steaks in the evening and they are cooked as you wait.

I Haven't tried either yet as the Independence will be our first RC cruise. We was looking forward to trying Portofino but after her refurb it looks like it's been replaced by Giovanni's. Have we now missed out on a good restaurant or is Giovanni's just as nice.
