  1. My wife and I would like to dine alone in the main dinning room. I thought I heard Matt respond to this previously. Does anyone know the correct email address to request this.

    Respectfully,

    Larry

    Lancaster, PA

  2. I would appreciate some thoughts from those whom have cruised with unvaxxed toddlers recently.

    4- Adults fully vaxxed

    1- 10 month old baby

    1- 4 1/2 year old child

We purchased "The Key" for our family group. I am aware of the pro's and cons (and listened to Matt's podcasts on "The Key") as well. My thought is "The Key" might provide value to us boarding with a baby (dropping of carry-ons & quicker boarding, ETC).I plan doing the on-line check-in process at 12:05AM on our cruise's April 7th check in date to grab the 11:00AM boarding slot.

Where I am confused,... I was told that a "couple weeks" before the cruise we will get an email from RCCL with a time slot for our unvaccinated toddler's Covid pre-boarding screening.  Is that time frame coordinated with are boarding time? If not, it seems their is no advantages to The Keys embarkation: - Chops lunch in main dinning room and dropping off carry-ons? Thoughts?

Put your phone in airplane mode.  Then go in and reactivate only your Wifi.  This will keep your cellular voice and data shut off but allow you to connect to VOOM.

VOOM only works on the ship (and maybe Coco Cay and Labadee, those with experience can confirm or counter that).  On shore you will have to look in to your cellular carrier to determine what international options they have.  If you don't want to use your phone on shore then you can just keep it in the same mode you are using on the ship and it will not connect to the local cellular network.

    Enjoy your cruise!

    Thank you!

  4. My concern: My very first cruise, I made the mistake of briefly using my cell phone while out at sea. It cost me a couple of bucks more than I was comfortable with. Since then, when I cruise my phone is turned off till I am back in the cruise port. Next week's family cruise on the Allure, all 3 in our party have purchased the Deluxe Bev Package and VOOM.

I believe on board each of us connect to the Royal Wi-Fi wireless network and enter our code/pin number to access VOOM. Do we need to set up any special phone settings to avoid unexpected charges? Can anyone guide me on how to avoid those fees? Also, when off the Allure on shore in the Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Martin will VOOM work and if so are there any worries of incurring unintended fees?

  5. Sabor was ala cart pricing, when we cruised Allure last May. We are cruising on Allure again this May. My wife and I ate lunch there twice during the week and enjoyed the food and drink. If I remember correctly, there was a Sabor themed bar located outside of the Sabor modern. Can we order the made to order Guacamole and Sabor themed margaritas at the location? Just not sure we want to pay $22.00 for lunch.

  6. My wife and I would like to attend a Royal Caribbean Blog.com Group Cruise Event. We cruising on the Allure Sunday. Can we book with RCCL's NEXT CRUISE program for a time & ship listed on the Blog event page and transfer the reservation to a MEI travel Agent after we return home? If so, what are the advantages of doing the Next Cruise program versus just booking with MEI first, for a RC Podcast Group Cruise Event?

  7. Thank you Matt. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts! We booked Izumi, Sabor and *Giovanni's Table (*for the night of our 33rd Wedding Anniversary) thru the RCCL Cruise Planner for 3 dinners out of the MDR. I booked Giovanni's Table for our anniversary because my wives loves Italian food. I hope to surprise her with that dinner!

    One more question, SORRY!  :-)

Giovanni's Table: We are not really big eaters, will we be able to take our dessert back to our cabin to eat later?

  9. TIA for any recommendations!  We are cruising on Anthem of the Seas and we are looking to spend the day in Nassau relaxing on a pretty beach.  There seem to be so many choices.  Does anyone have feedback on their best beach excursion? thank you!

We are set to go to Pearl Island on our April 2017 Allure cruise. Booked thru RCCL because of the short time in Nassau.

Pearl Island Beach Day And Snorkel With Lunch

TIME 8:00 AM-1:00 PM - TOTAL: $198.00 for the two of us.

Looks like a lot of fun: a little beach time, a little snorkel time and a bite of lunch to tide us over until we get back on board the Allure! Can you say "made to order" guacamole at Sabor!!!!
