  1. I'm also using a TA, so I don't know. I'm sure somebody else has the answer.
  2. I agree! There's even springs in the name of your city! There has to be water nearby!
  3. Of course, because you should always match your belt and socks, that goes without saying.
  4. I would love to cruise out of Chicago. The great lakes are a lot bigger than people think.
  5. White socks on formal night is just uncouth!
  6. You can always order multiple items and just have a taste or two. I know it takes some self control, but it can be done. I speak from experience, albeit sometimes not always successful myself.
  7. You have to wear black socks with your sandals! Especially on formal night!
  8. True, but if you are dining at specialty restaurants, you still have to make those reservations in advance, no? But it does give you some heads up about the week to make more informed choices. Couldn't they just put that info on a tv channel?
  9. Why doesn't RC cruise here? With all the varied ports of call that RC cruises to, which ports of call are they missing? Where would you like them to cruise to and/or from? I've already chosen mine, Chicago! I'd love to save the airfare!
  10. I'm not sure if this is something new? I booked our Oct cruise in Feb and so far have only put down the required deposit, and have been able to book excursions and drink packages already. The only thing left is dining reservations, but they haven't opened up yet.
  11. True. I stopped when I found out that all the ocean view rooms were sold out on our cruise. The only way to "save" money now would be to upgrade to a higher category, if the prices dropped. But they aren't going to drop if the lower categories are already sold out. Why would they? I'd have to spend more to save.
  12. If this is the case as stated, I have to ask the question. Is there still a need and/or want to continue with formal nights? I know that the second formal night of a cruise is usually lobster night, from what I understand, but besides that, any other differences between formal night and any other night in the MDR? Can't you just get dressed up any night you want?
  13. PRC is correct. Just protecting others from the chance of cross contamination. Don't want to chance that something might get into the food supply that came into contact with somebody. Basically the same reason all food service employees should wear gloves while preparing food.
  14. Most people have said that we should not have any problems. I will check with a manager the first day, just to make sure. Thanks
  15. Did you have traditional dining to begin with? We have MTD.
  16. Those are sweet! You are luckier than me. I could never pull that off!
  17. We'll be cruising in Canada and New England in Oct, so that sounds like a good way to go for me. Maybe a 1/4 zip sweater, if I want to get really nuts!
  18. And another piece of advice. Whatever you do, do not bring any food into the theatres. The performers find it very distracting and they will have a hard time concentrating. Or so I hear.
  19. It's just the same idea as not refilling your used plate at a buffet. Always take a clean plate, please.
  20. What did you order? Something beyond continental breakfast?
