  1. I guess if they don't have kimchi, they wouldn't have sauerkraut. Same thing, different countries. Love the fermented cabbage! Probably best, being on a ship full of strangers!
  2. Just was curious. I actually cancelled the original one I had booked, when I found one I liked a little better. I keep telling myself that I have to stop chasing that carrot!
  3. Miso soup is a very popular breakfast in Japan. Have you ever seen kimchi on board an RC ship? I love the stuff! Goes great with scrambled eggs!
  4. I don't know if they are still around, but I once saw a Led Zeppelin cover band called Dred Zeppelin and they did all Zeppelin covers in a reggae style. They were awesome!
  5. It does fly by. 27yrs this Oct for us. We will be celebrating it on Serenade in Canada And New England on our first cruise and first vacation, outside of a couple of two nighters without the kids, in 23yrs!
  6. Isn't that the case on any trip the last night?
  7. I booked our excursions, through RC, for our Oct cruise, shortly after booking the cruise in Feb. Now I see different excursions offered, that weren't offered then. Is this a common practice of different excursions, being made available, as it gets closer to sailing time?
  8. Well just hoping for something beyond scrambled eggs and bacon. Although, I do like those items. Just looking for something different. I've been known to throw just about any leftover meat and such in an omelet!
  9. I agree. A small menu served after hours would please most people I would think. I think the items you mentioned above, maybe with the addition of burgers and hotdogs, would be easy and cost effective. Food and labor cost would both be low.
  10. No cruise would be complete without some Buffett!
  11. Although I am a non drinker of 19yrs, I do love a good spicy virgin mary! Love to have them with breakfast!
  12. We have tix for Aug 26th at Wrigley Field! They finish a up three concerts in a row at Wrigley. Green Day, Lady Gaga and then ZBB. That's some diversity!
  13. Did you book this "combo" through RC or did you book each one separately?
  14. I know. It's just ice cream, cake and a baked meringue. Maybe I'll ask. We are going to be in the MDR on night five for our anniversary.
  15. I don't, but I know someone does. Matt?
  16. I say kids, and they are my kids. But they will also be 16 and 23 then.
  17. Been to Disney in July, so we know what we are getting ourselves into.
  18. Correction, it was actually on the RC site. Choose from 3/4 night Bahamas or 4/5/7 night eastern/western Caribbean and then 2/3/4 night at Universal. Yes and you get to choose Majesty or Oasis, based on when you want to go.
  19. I saw it on the Universal site. Same kind of concept like the Disney Parks and Cruise combo.
  20. It's right up there with the theme from the Poseidon Adventure and The Wreck Of The Edmond Fitzgerald!
  21. Thinking about a RC cruise and Universal Orlando combo next summer with the kids. Anybody ever had experience with this?
  22. Has anybody ever had Carly Boileau? She's listed as CD on our Oct cruise on Serenade.
  23. That's one of the benefits of living in Europe. Many available countries to cruise to and from in a relatively short time. Here in the US, except for Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean, it's a long ride to get anywhere.
