    Peter,
They initiated the first email.  Typically, one week prior to your sail date.  I think you can reach out before that.  Matt, this blog site administer, has posted about reaching out to your ship Concierge, i do not recall the details.
I got a personal response within 2hrs, addressing non-suite family members (diamond members) cruising with us and internet service.
    R,
    Bob

Poiter.   Below is an extract of the email from the Concierge before we board the Radiance of the Seas (Grand Suite), next week.  The Radiance is repositioning from Aussie itineraries to Alaskan itineraries.   I think benefits would be similar.  I did ask questions based on the info below and they were quickly answered.
    R,
    Bob

    G'day,
I am booked for a grand suite on the Voyager of the Seas for a South Pacific cruise in Feb 2018, we are departing and returning to Sydney and I would love to hear from members of this forum that are Australian residents and have previously sailed in a Grand Suite.
Many of the benefits listed on the RCI website are only for Oasis and Quantum class ships so I would love to know what benefits are given to Australian customers in Grand suites.
I am not expecting to be treated like royalty, but have heard of free internet and ship tours etc, so many other sites tell you so many different things that are obviously not realistic but I hope that I can rely on this RCI dedicated forum to give only proven answers from experienced travellers.. ( keep in mind that we are sailing from Australia and are in a grand Suite on Voyager) Thank you
    Peter

I would like to ask why Royal Caribbean calls themselves Royal Caribbean International.
Here in Australia we are constantly hearing about repricing cruises, and the royal IQ and other incentives, but whenever we try to get them we are told, 'they are only available in the USA'. or 'they are only available on certain ships" only one of those ships comes to Australia.
Perhaps they should drop the international until they are able to offer the same services for all cruisers, cruising from all ports and all countries.

G'day I am thinking of taking a repositioning cruise from Hong Kong back to Australia and am curious to know if these are full featured normal cruises, will there be anything different about these cruises?

G'day, I am thinking of taking Liberty out of Galveston and am just wondering, do most of you stay in Galveston or Houston or Austin, I am from Australia and don't know much about the states, Would love to fly to LA then make our way to Vegas and the Grand canyon then down to Galveston, is there an easy way to travel around the states other than flying.
Does the Liberty have Water slides?

prior to cruising my wife and I were debating the drinks packages, were they worth it?
I do not drink a lot at home but can tend to drink a few with company, my wife drinks more than I do but even she is not the heaviest drinker, so we decided to get the premium package rather than have to worry about hefty cruise card bills.
We both drank enough to justify the package, so we go our money's worth.
we both agree now, however that if we didn't have a package we would not have drank anywhere near as much.
We have agreed that on our next cruise we will just buy the soft drink package if any and buy a couple of beers or whatever with meals

your'e doing well if your specialty dining has already been  cooked
I found the Radiance MDR to be good, we had three or four staples on the diet and three or four different offerings each night, we could have eaten something different every night of our 14 night NZ cruise

Favourite restaurant was the main dining room,
I really liked Picton, such a picturesque place and Auckland is nice.
I found that the food in the Windjammer was never really hot enough.
My wife found that the towels were not big enough.
The staff were brilliant, we were never left standing around and they were very quick witted and amusing.
We probably had a bit of bad luck, as the world cup cricket was on in NZ and the excursions were a little rushed due to the ports being unprepared for cricket and cruising.
    But overall it was wonderful

I enjoyed 95% of the nightly shows, and enjoyed beating the wife at minigolf.
My wife and her friend did the napkin folding course.
And I enjoyed the singer that took requests in the schooner bar, Tony B was his name

I still am a little miffed about the whole tipping scenario.
We are forced to pay tips with our prepaid tips prior to even boarding the ship, if we pre purchase a drinks package we also pre pay more tips, if we buy a drink at the bar we also pay a tip.
So why are we still 'encouraged' to pay more, example envelopes handed out on last night, head waiters telling us how gratuities tell them how good they are even a friend had the stateroom attendant relating to them as to his poor sick family under pressure to attend bad schools etc.
We should be given the simplest option...either have tips added to appropriately pay the staff, and have no mention ever made of it or give the customer the sole right and discretion to distribute tips as we see fit.
I feel that we pay enough money to expect the level of service that we received, if some people need more service then the rest then they should be the ones paying additional tips.

we made good use of the package, usually a bottle of water each and ate least 6 or seven cocktails per day, and the odd soft drink.
