  1. @Floski you can join @WAAAYTOOO, myself, and a whole bunch of other people on SY 08/21/2021. ?
  2. Cabin people = people who enjoy hanging out in their cabins That's what I call it anyway lol Enjoy 1054! I would love to see pics and then I can see how it compares to 1054 on Jewel, which has the panoramic windows only.
  3. I truly think that if you can get over the narrow balcony (but find all balconies narrow unless it's Quantum or Oasis class) in 1054, then it would be smart to save the $1000 for other cruise planner purchases. However, if balcony space is important to you, then splurge a bit and go for the 2 BDR OS at the back. For us, the thing that really prompted me to change to the OS is that I don't know what cruising will look like next July. If I do need to spend more time in my cabin, I would want the cabin space, hence the move to the OS. We are normally cabin people anyway when we cruise so we don't mind spending a bit on extra square footage. As far as noise from the centrum goes, I vaguely remember asking @twangster about this when I booked 1054 for Jewel. I think he did have some thoughts, but not enough to deter me from not booking it on Jewel. We'll wait for him to chime in. ?
  4. I really should read the entire post before responding lol. The 2 BDR Owner's suites at the back of the ship were on my radar as well. They look awesome! If I were sailing with my kids, it would be no brainer. With just Hubby and I, I could not justify the price difference. But you really get the best of both worlds with those cabins. Unobstructed aft views and 2 bathrooms!!! Win/win!
  5. I should add that my booking on Jewel (1054) has no balcony. But exact same layout inside. I have heard many times that the balcony on the hump (which 1054 is) offers little privacy and it is very narrow. But it's nice to have the 2 bathrooms.
  6. Lol. I have this exact cabin booked on Jewel and I have heard the same complaints about noise coming from the centrum. But I got a great price and it's a 5 night sailing so willing to deal with it. For Brilliance, I wish you and I picked the same dates! I grabbed the July 24th sailing and my TA was equally awesome as she snagged 1600 upon release, within minutes. But I did an awful thing to her. After giving it some more thought, I let go of 1600 and grabbed an OS instead. The price was good and I've never done an OS before. I also made peace with the smaller balcony in the OS because I figured that since it's just Hubby and I, we might do in room dining sometimes and the space in the OS is better for that. 1600 has a different configuration and while the balcony is fantastic, the cabin itself is smaller.
  7. Ugh! Guess I just have to YOLO and book more to use it up by December 2021. ?
  8. Not likely. They have not budged at all through this entire pandemic for those who have cancelled before their announcement.
  9. When was your FCC issued? I have two that say that as well, but my newest one the wording is changed.
  10. I thought so too at first but even the wording on the website is changed...
  11. Can someone who recently (in the last few weeks) received a FCC check their fine print for me. We just recently cancelled our December 2020 cruise under CWC and received our FCCs (deposit only). In the fine print, it says that it must be applied to a sailing that departs before the expiration date of 12/13/2021? Wasn't it always redeem by December 2021 and sail by April 30, 2022?? Or am I losing it? My FCC from a cancelled July sailing says by April 2022. Were they sneaky and changed the rules?? I checked Royal's website and the April 2022 date is also gone. It also says redeem and depart by 12/31/2021. Redeem Your Cruise Credit If you cancel, we’ll give you a credit that needs to be used on a cruise that is booked and departs on or before December 31, 2021 or 12 months from the cancellation (whichever is longer).
  12. Better be!! That’s my RLS sailing. Going to hit a whole new low if I lose that one! ?
  13. In the meantime, reach out and give your TAs a virtual hug. With round #? (I lost count) of cancellations, redeployment of ships, and all other craziness, their jobs could not be any harder right now.
  14. @Matt blogged about this earlier today. https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/2020/10/06/spotted-navigator-of-the-seas-listed-portmiami-schedule-possible-test-sailings
  15. It's ok...Jason Spezza has unfinished business with the Leafs! Cue new saviour...?
  16. I was referring to only the border. I also believe the quarantine will last longer than just after Christmas.
  17. You would have to look into it more, I don't the specific details, but, whenever we ask for a rollaway bed on the phone with the reps the line they always give us is putting more beds than the room can accommodate violates some sort of rule they have. Now, fast forward to a week before sailing when we make the same request with the Genie or suite concierge, the request is usually granted. Only one time they were hesitant to promise us and in the end, the state room attendant took care of it the day of boarding. However, the reps on the phone always quote a line where it violates a rule. The point that I am trying to make it, can you play on that? You or your TA would have to do some digging, but if there actually is a rule, perhaps you can use that to your advantage. I am really sorry that I cannot be more specific.
  18. So there is your ammunition right there to have them move you to a more suitable room. With 5 on the reservation, there is no way the GS can accommodate that.
  19. Not for a GS. Only Star Class can get CK delivered to the cabin.
  20. As per @Matt's simple rules for these boards, this is not the place for politics. Feel free to report and flag any posts that we miss and we will be sure to take care of it. ?
  21. I was basically stalking the site all day long. Lol I am actually really excited about it! Ports I have either never been to, or ports that I have not visited in over a decade. Departs from Tampa (as you already know). We have never left from Tampa before so that’s a first. And it goes to Key West (never been), Belize & Grand Cayman (last visited both in 2003), and Cozumel (that is the only familiar port for us). Now I just need it to happen! This is our anniversary cruise too so fingers crossed we don’t lose another anniversary cruise like we did this year.
  22. Pretty sure they are not the trundle ones. Those have a distinct sofa shape that I don't see on the ones in the GS on Navigator.
  23. Yes lol. I'm actually really excited to try the hot rocks at Izumi. If all goes well in 2021, I should have plenty of CK time. I can take a break for Brilliance. ?
