markinct reacted to DAVE(Darkcabbie) in Drinking package
Beer selection is good both bottle and draught and is roughly $5-$7 depending on what you have, see below
Cocktails are about $8-$12 and spirits are about $6 upwards.
Hope this helps :)

I take full credit for this. After noticing the balance of my SeaPass card after my April Oasis cruise, Chairman Fain had full confidence he could afford another of the big ships.

Please do! Love it when people post food photos. The menu's change occasionally so maybe you'll see something new? Look forward to seeing what you eat! ;)

markinct got a reaction from rekkie in Tell us about your next RCI cruise
My next cruise will be my first - Oasis OTS, April, 2015, Western Caribbean.
Over 330 days out, and I'm already thinking we should book a cruise for 2016 while the BOGOHO offer is still on!

That is astonishingly awesome.

We have just completed a 33 night Circumnavigation of Australia that took in the NZ South Islands and Sounds as well as Bali... So we are saving up our vacation time again to head to the USA in 2016 and do an Alaskan Cruise, a cruise on Quantum out of New York and then cruise back to Sydney from Hawaii. It will be our biggest adventure yet.

My next, and first, RCCL cruise is November 15th aboard the Jewel! I also booked it far enough in advance that I was able to secure 3 aft balconies for my group!

It depends on the individual, and cruise. In my case, on my last Oasis cruise, with so many sea days I probably should have sprung for a package. Our next cruise is port intensive, so I'll be off ship most days, and likely won't be worth the cost.
I'm also now a Diamond member, so there are three free drinks per day between 5-8:30pm put on my card that can be used in many locations (not dining room though), so that's another consideration...
There's no "one size fits all" to the "worth it?" question.

Soda package is pretty cheap $5-6 a day depending on age I think? So if they are soda drinkers that might be worth it.
If they have the freestyle machines on your cruise you can also get flavored Dasani water instead of soda so it doesn't have to be an unhealthy drink choice :)
The package for about $20 a day I believe adds the frozen "virgin" cocktails to the package as an additional option if they would be into that.

You're back! So on the whole tiramisu thing, I'm a little obsessed with the Italian dessert tiramisu. So the best onboard is in either Portofino or Giovanni's Table, both are good. However, there is a tiramisu dessert cup available in Sorrento's that is quite good as well. Now if I could only get Royal Caribbean to partner with The Cheesecake Factory and have available all of their desserts, life would be made! ;)

Pattern in terms of the menu? Or pattern in terms of which nights are formal nights and which are casual nights?
My wife and I try to skip "lobster night" in MDR since neither of us eat lobster (I know, this must be shocking to many of you) and eat at a specialty restaurant.
As a personal rule that is based on nothing but my absurd idiosyncrasies, I never skip first or last night in MDR because I want to be able to meet wait staff and then say goodbye.
