  1. Jumping back in time and trying my best to wrap up this series... Earlier in the day I happened to notice some of the state of the art equipment for reporting current weather conditions. Sunset tonight wasn't the most spectacular. Still, any sunset at sea is spectacular when it is in first person. Also happened to notice that Majesty had been following along side. Figured I'd grab a quick shot of the very nice indoor Solarium. Entire sailing it was cool inside. Overall a great place to lay and relax. Quick photo of the pool deck.
  2. Oddity: Left from terminal 6, returned to 3. With the series of cruises I've done since September officially I've started and returned to terminal 3. Picture updates will have to wait until later tonight once I get home. Could have done a 3 am posting. However for some reason my Voom purchase cut off exactly after 3 days. Paid Friday around 12:15 am (Waited a day and bought onboard, $13.99 total for Surf and Stream using Diamond Plus discount) and was cut off Monday around 12:15 am. Sitting on the ship until the "Please non consecutive guests get the #$@% off" announcement is made. Already post cruise depression is setting in. Good thing I have another sailing in 19 days. SY GC 9:06 update: All tags have been called announcement 9:15 update: First GTFO announcement 9:20 update: Final GTFO announcement (If they made any other announcements, wouldn't know. I was being a good boy and left.) 9:28 update: Cleared Customs and Immigration
  3. Think they went back to making you do the entire booking process to make the non refundable option show up.
  4. Random information: Not sure if it the standard or what they happen to have on hand. Just noticed a can for Sacramento Bloody Mary mix.
  5. One activity that was done today was kind of interesting. For the kids in Adventure Ocean the did an egg drop contest. They had to build a holder to protect an egg when dropped. First round was a drop from deck 6 to deck 4 followed by a drop from 11 to 4. Tie breaker was trying to land the closest to a target. Now for some random photos...
  6. Next up was Windjammer recon. Tonight was Mexican and Indian Night, action station was fresh made quesadillas, and dessert was "stuff in a cup". Finally the last hot bar station. Loved the touch of the lasagna in little single portion pots.
  7. Continuing on with Cozumel I could believe how clear it was on the water. Could see just about perfectly Playa del Carmen. Once again I was blessed with a brilliant sunset. After watching the sunset I headed over to Top Tier Party in the Colony Club. Other than the stats previously posted nothing more to report. Icon class was mentioned, but nothing noteworthy. Did have this great view...
  8. The "buy one, get one 50% off" is all marketing. What they are basing everything off of is the onboard price that is now ranging between $63 and $69 starting next year.
  9. Some clarification on the 100 year old cruiser. Didn't initially hear it but this was her first cruise.
  10. For those that like to track Top Tier stats Gold: 628 Platinum: 136 Emerald: 64 Diamond: 118 Diamond Plus: 58 Pinnacle: 8 Top Cruiser Points 822, 895, and 925? (think it was 925) Bonus: One cruiser 100 years old.
  11. Transitioning over today... Had no plans for Cozumel. So I wound up getting off for a hour or so and walked around the areas around the port. Didn't bother taking my camera off so I'm recycling a picture taken last month. Getting back on the ship as previously mentioned the Halloween decorations had started to appear in the Centrum and other areas around the ship. As a FYI for those that might stay onboard. Only bars opened for most of the day were the R Bar in the Centrum and the Pool Bar. One major disappointment by many were no College football games being available to watch until later in the afternoon. All the Pub had on were reruns of the World Series... of Poker and a bar that wasn't open. Not sure what the outcome was, but I think a munity was going to be started due to a possible lack of showing of the Georgia Florida game.
  12. Catching up from last night... Delivered to the room was this decadent creation. Can't recall the exact flavor, either way it was a nice sized treat. On the Windjammer Recon front. Selections to night were Caribbean Night, Thai Corner, with the action station being freshly made waffles, and for the other dessert selection cupcakes. Plus the other hot bar selections. Key standouts from the dining room menu were pork shanks and duck.
  13. If needed I can provide temporary hosting space from a shared hosting provider. Just need to provide a domain name to use.
  14. Side semi related: Starquest Bar isn't spinning this sailing. Apparently it is broken right now.
  15. Nice to see some decorations being setup for Halloween. Last year from what I recall on Oasis it was a one day deal when it came to decorating.
  16. Real quick vent... Voom... Don't know if it is the crowd on board or what. So far I'll have to say Voom hasn't been the greatest. Worked much better in September. This time around it hasn't felt as responsive, trying to do a speed test.
  17. If I'm recalling correctly, I've seen Blantons and Basil Hayden before on Oasis. This was also from what I'm recalling January of this year, so things might have changed since. Best spot from what I'm recalling would the great misnomer, the Champagne Bar. Pub would be the other spot to check out. Photo of the back wall of the Champagne Bar October of last year.
  18. Many may disagree but when it comes to the Oasis class I agree the ship is the destination.
  19. After the Suite and Pinnacle reception (that post has been updated with some pictures) wondered around a bit and wound up in the Schooner Bar where I've spent most of my afternoon just talking. I have to say the ones on this class has to be the nicest, open feeling with great views. Also jumped over real quick to grab a shot of the Colony Club plus one of the Billiard tables (self leveling feature was none functional).
  20. Know on Oasis they would hold a reception. Harmony it was sail away on the helipad, think the same on Allure. Recall on Freedom they held something in Chops that was along the lines of a taste of the speciality venues. Anthem something was going to be held but don't think it was held. Don't recall what was done on other ships. This case the invite was hidden away in the "Suite Life" folder.
  21. Yes, Symphony does use WOW bands. My personal take: Somewhat mixed. For roaming bar staff it has to be taken off. At the bar it the reader it right next the POS terminal. So you might have to relocate to use it. For room entry it is real handy. Getting off the ship you'll still need to use your card. Basically it is a silicone band with a RFID chip in it. No electronic functions, so no time functions. Think they are $5-6 and included if in a Junior Suite or better
  22. Currently at the Suite and Pinnacle reception. Much different format that September and a lot less crowded. Maybe 20-25 in attendance. Getting left at the tables are small plates of canapes and petit fours. --Added in pictures
