  1. Just got a little card in my stateroom, can't remember what all it said, but that I had 3 drinks preloaded to my sea pass card. I don't think it said anything about evenings or anything, and I was only an emerald member, which is why I thought maybe it was a suite-related thing
  2. Just wondering how it works with having drinks preloaded on your sea pass card. Got this unexpectedly on my cruise a few months agof, but the one drink I got, I still got charged for. Is there something you have to do to activate or use it? Also, is it just like a grand suite and above thing, or is it tied into C&A benefits at all?
  3. And your set sail pass, which is your actual ticket, that you'll present at the terminal to get your sea pass card.
  4. Was hoping northeast would open up in time for me to book onboard in March, maybe get a little OBC, and sure enough, they got it scheduled for the very first day after I get off! Oh karma, thou art a heartless - nevermind, new dates! Woo!
  5. Alright now, chill out, I was just kidding. Doc's right, they are usually good about working around this type of issue.
  6. Tell them you just found out you ARE pregnant. Otherwise they might just say hold off on trying til after the cruise. Putting off a cruise for a kid, though...that's just wrong
  7. By the way, I thought you couldn't use OBC in the casino...
  8. You're right, it does always work out about the same. Started booking a b2b on rhapsody in December, then my boss piped up and said there's no way I'd get that time off approved. Of course, she waited til I already had the first leg reserved. So, annoyed and my bubble burst, I impetuously just cancelled the booking... I would say last time I juggle work and cruise planning, but I know that won't last.
  9. I'm looking to book another cruise for the end of this year, and wondering if I should book now or on board next week. The only benefits I ever see to booking onboard are the decreased deposit and the extra onboard spending credit. On the flip side, the current 30% sale ends before next week, and I have no idea if they'll extend it, or what's up next. Not even sure which itinerary to do, but looked at several, and rooms are already starting to disappear. Anyone ever see other perks or discounts with the on board booking, or should I just do it now?
  10. What are you putting in that suitcase? Shorts and flip-flops, man. All ya need and doesn't take up much space. Or just get a bigger suitcase
  11. It's a start. Maybe throw in that you've got a bum leg and a bad back, and live your life one doctors appointment to the next. Oh! And you got a terminally ill kid whose only wish is to have his very own cruise ship...
  12. I dunno, I couldn't even get enough to get my friend a boob job...
  13. I wonder if maybe they're planning on sending Enchantment up there. Give em a little more capacity up there and maybe a better return on that investment, and with the big plans they have for Miami, it'll clear some room for the shuffling to come down there.
  14. If you do this, pay attention when your points are posted. My last three cruises I've had to email RC because they shorted me the bonus solo or suite points. They were great about it and fixed it right away each time, but just something to keep in mind.
  15. I think you're right. At some point they're gonna overdo it, and end up with a fleet of massive, expensive boats that can't turn a profit because they can't keep em full. I'd actually like to see a return of the smaller boats. Maybe a new generation of Sovereigns...
  16. Need more (and year-round) sailings out of Tampa! Also heard rumors about them building a new terminal somewhere outside the skyway, so could accommodate some of the bigger boats, but apparently was just a vague idea without real intent.
  17. And they usually release new dates around March or april. I had read somewhere rec3ntly that they were expecting to be releasing new dates this month, but I think that's kinda their plan every year, and it always ends up being a few months late
  18. This is a great option for when you don't yet know the details of your next cruise. It's very flexible, so if life interferes with your cruising plans, you can change your date or your ship whenever and as many times as necessary (up to your final payment date). They also never expire, so even if that next cruise is years away, you'll have it waiting for you when you're ready. I just about always have one in the bank, just in case. Only downside is if they're doing some promo bonus for booking on board, it often excludes this. Just ask your on board booking agent about doing an "open" or "open-ended" booking.
  19. Lol. Whatever it's called, I call it 3 more nights on a boat, away from work, away from life, and not caring one bit about what's going on with either!
  20. Nice. I'm really curious to see how this goes with them having all three boats in. Haven't had to deal with that yet.
  21. I thought that, too, but it's really not hard to pack 8 nights' worth of stuff when all I ever take is shorts and flip-flops. Just booked us for Enchantment, so we'll see how smoothly it goes.
  22. Anyone tried getting off one boat and right back on another? I come back on Navigator Feb 3, and just realized with the way I arranged my days off, I can get off navigator and hop right on Empress or enchantment for another 3 days away. Anyone done this? Is it a hassle or pretty straightfoward?
  23. I actually got an owner's suite on Empress for about the same as what I'd pay for a junior on the newer boats. The room's about the same size or maybe a little bit smaller, but the balcony was about 4 times bigger.
  24. Lol. I went to one on Freedom last year, and had the same before and after impressions
