Bummer. If I get the John Tesh tribute soloist instead I'm going to be awfully pissed.
I haven't heard of them. There have been Beatles, Van Halen, U2 tribute bands on board also.

One more for you guys. Just noticed that on a recent cruise there is a Journey tribute band playing every night, or at least with some frequency. Should I assume that they will still be on the ship for 4 November? Thanks!
You should NOT assume that. It's not unusual for the entertainment to change each cruise. It's also possible that some stay on for a month or more.
-
You also used to get OBC by booking on board. So you could get a lot of OBC by simply booking cruises. OBC for booking suites was significantly higher.

Who drinks on a tour? Unless it's a Bacardi Rum tour or something like that.

4. Hate to say this, but Royal's website seems more user friendly? Wow. I never thought I would say that - could be what I'm am familiar with.
Thanks!
They realigned the website to be more similar to Royal's. Now it's just downright WORSE! Used to be better and easy to navigate.

In Palma de Mallorca I did this tour: http://majorca-tours.net/escursione/valldemossa-soller-palma-vip/ I recommend it.
In Barcelona, Gaudi, Gaudi and more Gaudi. Especially Sagrada Familia.
In Rome, we used Rome in Limo, very good: https://www.romeinlimo.com/
In Naples I recommend you go to Pompeii and then come back and eat pizza before getting back on the ship.

Hi,
I am traveling on Symphony April 2018 to Europe, I looked at the shore excursions offered and its a bit overwhelming being that its our first time to Europe. Do you have any recommendations for the ports we are visiting?
In La Spezia do a tour to Cinque Terre. Don't go to Piza and/or Florence. It's tempting, but it's far.

Did your TA say WHY a change isn't possible? Maybe it will cost you a bit more?
Those front cabins are usually very nice as they often have extra room.

Darn. I had two of those packed, too! Thanks for the info, @Koz.

Can I interject another random question? Do the staterooms on Brilliance of the Seas have hair dryers? (Will have D1 Balcony stateroom on transAtlantic in a few weeks)
12 hours ago, DocLC said:Yes although some complain about their power. You should find it in the desk drawer.
And this is true on all Royal Caribbean ships.

OK, here's a few- Barbicide, a Flamethrower and a Shetland Pony.
Good choice!

Good question. I'm really not sure if it's typical or not. I can tell you that their announcements generally DO NOT match Royal's announcements.

I've always wondered if they have trouble filling their restaurants on the first couple nights and if this is one of their strategies to solve that.
This is my understanding.

1) I always give the prepaid tips and give a little extra to our stateroom attendant. Usually around $20-$40.
2) yes, but unless you're follically challenged like me, bring your own. The soap is fine, but some insist on their own.
3) You can get walkie talkies, but the service can be spotty and the sounds can be annoying to other passengers. The Internet package would be the best way to go, but decide if you really need it. Just set certain times to meet up during the day. Of course this depends on the age of your children.

Also, prepaid gratuities or the 13.50 per day charge are not mandatory. You can go to guest services and cancel them if you wish to personally tip the dining staff and room keeper yourself in cash.
You can do that, but don't do that.

First thing! It takes a while to get through the whole process. Doing it first thing gives you the rest of the day to relax.
-
2) I'm almost 100% sure that bed rails are available. Yes, ask the attendant.
6) Yes. The sail away is outside. Just don't expect too many there if it's REALLY COLD. Solarium is a nice option for sail away, as you can go outside on the wing and then escape back into the warmth of the Solarium.

If you check with the loyalty ambassador they will give you a sticker for your card to recognize your diamond status. You will also receive your diamond perks on your second leg. Make sure you let the loyalty ambassador know on the first leg so they will be ready.
Congratulations for your upcoming milestone!
This is correct.
