Thanks for the reply! It's actually $500 more for the adjoining staterooms. Hubby feels it's worth it for the extra space but I'm still unsure about straying away from a mid-ship location.
How old are the kiddos? My opinion is yes, absolutely worth the extra cost! Can you say extra bathroom, shower? Also if the kids are of the right age, from their perspective having your own space really pushes a great vacation over the top. And as an adult, the possibility of having the couch our lounger on the balcony to yourself for an afternoon nap!

Along with booking our cruises as early as possible, we purchase most things like drink packages, internet, specialty restaurants, etc as soon as they are available. If the price goes down, you can always cancel and repurchase.

1st as mentioned before, arrive the night before your cruise.
2nd don't over think or over research your cruise. For me, the wonderment of our first cruise would have been ruined if I would have looked at dinner menus, cruise compasses, etc. before the cruise. Other than planning our shore excursions we had no idea what lied ahead and it was a magical experience!

So, it's been a while since I originally posted this, and I noticed on another board that they thought the tables were more than $5. Any recent experience in the Casino on Allure!

I agree with you. This is my only objection to southern Caribbean itins. They are so port-intensive that it wears you out ! You just don't get a break. wonderful ports...just too many of them.
Really looking forward to our 9nt Navigator southern caribbean from Miami. Unfortunately, it's not until April 2018 but on paper it is the most ideal cruise itinerary that royal offers.

I was in the same situation. We initially purchased a 2 device plan and later decided to get a 4 device plan and share with my parents who are joining us. I had to cancel the plan and repurchase the new one. Unfortunately, I was not able to modify the purchase as you can with dining, activities, shore excursions, etc.

Thanks, everyone! We just booked Adventure for San Juan in January 2018. We plan to fly down a couple of days early to spend some time in SJ before boarding and then heading home. Thanks for confirming the decision!
We have on Adventure twice and love that ship and the southern Caribbean! Only draw back (for us) is that there is not enough sea days on either jewel or adventure itineraries. Easily overcome by the ship and all the southern ports!!
Which itinerary are you sailing?

Rich, I will be watching this thread, as we too will be on our first O-class ship in October.

Well, we are 90 days out and I was able to check in and able to print our set sail pass! Which, I assume, means Royal Caribbean shows that I have made final payment. I still find it strange that the payments were split in the manner they were. Interestingly, we only owe $100 for an April cruise that we booked with the same agency and every payment has been to RCCL.

Our next cruise in November changed from Cozumel/Falmouth,/Labadee to Cozumel/Costa Maya/Nassua. We weren't particularly pleased, but hey.......we will be on a cruise

We will be sailing on Allure in 94 days and they opened entertainment for reservations on cruise planner today. This will be our first O-class cruise and I had a couple of questions.
When you make reservations do you get assigned seats? Or just guaranteed seat?
Is the comedy show/comedian the same each night? If not which night to book?
Is there a welcome aboard show with the cruise director?
And out of pure curiosity. ... if mama Mia is only on days 1 and 2! What do the cast members do for the rest of the cruise? I was under the impression the cast were not regular crew members?
Thanks, swissHELM

This is what we use. Very useful, no cord, plugs straight into the outlet

Chrome > All others
But the videos that Matt posts in his blog entries are not playable on chrome running on android. That is a problem

Is anyone else having problems quoting other posts? I know some aren't but I am.
Nope

We love Adventure and the southern routes offered from San juan. We most recently did barbados, st lucia, antigua, st martin, and St croix. With the exception of St maarten, I am not sure if the ports could handle a larger ship. Also, Part of our enjoyment with most of the southern ports is they don't have more than 2 or three ships at a time. I would be disappointed if you unleashed an O-Sized ship on some of these islands.

Looks like my luck is out!
Curious to know why your trip insurance isn't covering the larger portion of the trip if not 100%?

Where does it say all rooms have cctv?

Exactly the same with my travel agent ..... As soon as the payment is applied, I receive a confirmation, almost identical as the confirmations received from Royal Caribbean Directly, It does make me feel better watching my balance due go down.
I also get a deposit confirmation after each payment.

We sailed over the New Year Holiday 2014 and had a wonderful experience. My sister is a high school teacher which hasoccasionally made it necessary to travel on holidays. The party for the new year was fantasic, fire works at sea. It was all great. I did however get wearly of the holiday/Christmas music played for the entire voyage. That said we prefer to cruise in off peak time when it it less expensive.
