  1. Hi floatme, did you think one hour was enough for photos? Were you given an option to prepay for photos only? I have only been given an option for 1 hour additional photography and 20 extra photos. The extra one hour is what I'm not sure about. I don't know if we'll need an extra hour. We are getting married on oasis and have never cruised before....Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks!

I was incorrect in my previous post. All of the options did include the extra hour. Email yur coordinator and ask if you if she can put some packages together that only includes the extra photos. They love to get money up front. Don't be surprised if they aren't terribly quick to respond. I will try to attach our options menu. Things have changed a lot even in the past 8 months and we weren't on an Oasis class ship. By the way the cake REALLY is great.

Yes, I believe we were given a price sheet for several different "additional" photo packages. I will try and find the menu. Adding the addition photos beforehand was significantly less expensive than deciding on board that you wanted more than the original 20. For us 1 hour was perfect but the photographer did a fantastic job getting us around the ship. And we had to keep moving. Also were n a smaller ship. I am sure yours will be equally as good. Keep in mind that they will take you all over the ship. Casino, spiral glass stair cases, carousel, aqua theater, helipad, outside prominade, etc. For us, an extra hour would have been a waste, but we aren't people to,stage every shot, and we told our photographer that she was the pro and we just follow her lead and directions .

  3. I'm surprised they price it PP at all. I would've thought it was more like a suite at a ballpark. You pay one fee, say 50k, and you bring as many as you want, up to its occupancy limit. I'm always fascinated by how the 1% lives.

Not even this one that cost $54000 Per Person. And from what I understand it was booked to capacity in a couple of weeks???

  4. Ok this one is easy for me...

    1) Walk the Freedom trail

    2) Go to the observation deck of the Prudential center

    3) Take the subway to Cambridge (Visit Harvard University) and Harvard square, also Mt Auburn cemetery

    4) Take the Boston Duck tour

    5) Visit Quincy market and faneuil marketplace

    6) Go check Boston common and Boston public garden

    7) Most important, HAVE FUN ON YOUR CRUISE !!!!!

Only things I would add is the JFK museum, and prime rib dinner at Durgin-Park.

  5. Just out of curiosity, I did some research and it appears the rate for those Royal suites isn't publicly listed on the site. I wasn't surprised. Does anyone actually know the rate for the one pictured in the blog photo ? I'm thinking of selling my house and booking one LOL

Not positive which suite is shown? Royal Loft suite on anthem in November, 2016 is $11000 per person for 7 night cruise. Sometimes it helps to indicate "4 adults" when doing a mock booking so more options will be available through the website. But even doing that will not get you pricing on family suites.

  6. I have a grand suite booked for Harmony 2/25/2017 so I would be considered "Skyclass" I wonder what I get for that? Did the Rep say when we would know what each class gets?

Is I mentioned, I copied and pasted the info from another forum. As the poster indicated maybe we will get further information later in the day from the travel show I vegas??

  7. Just swiped this post from another forum. As a junior suite passenger, I am looking forward to the details. Don't know how true this is?

  8. First - I want to say that this is such a great blog!  There's a lot of activity and participation and everyone is so willing to share.  Thanks everyone.

I'm old and I've sailed on lots of different cruise lines - some very small (30 passengers) - some very big.  This is my first cruise on RC and my first in a long period of absence, so many things have changed.   The last time I cruised we still did tips at the end.

I tend to be a big tipper and I really like the automatic gratuities because it takes the worry out at the end.  (Am I tipping enough?).  Also, since I've already paid the tips, that drink bill at the end of the cruise doesn't hurt so bad!  My question for those of you who are regular RC cruisers is this:  After the automatic gratuities, is there still an envelope in your room to add an extra gratuity if you think your service was exemplary and deserves more?  Because if there is, I will probably feel guilty if I don't put something in there.

Our cabin steward did leave us an envelope on Adventure this past April. We were in a suite, so I don't know if just our steward does this, or suite cabins do it, or all stewards on Adventure??
