Curious what they will replace it with if it is going away. I'll be on Harmony in November over Thanksgiving. While Grease isn't exactly my personal favorite I was excited to see the production since the only other Oasis class I've been on is Wonder and they don't have a broadway production at all.

Quick GTY Room question for the pro's
Zenra replied to Robert M's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Well there goes that theory! It does make me wonder what their system really is... But I guess in the end as long as we get our cabin numbers we're all happy. -
Quick GTY Room question for the pro's
Zenra replied to Robert M's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Here with an update! Seems Royal is sticking to a 16 day assignment on GTYs (at least with the small sample size from this thread). Officially 16 days out and got our cabin assignment sometime after 7PM Central time. Not sure when exactly but I know it wasn't before that given how often I was checking today. We had a GTY Balcony for this one and got a Large Balcony, so no complaints here. That said, we do have a couple of RU bids in that are still "Submitted", but given this is (presumably) a sold out sailing, I doubt that'll go anywhere. But - the excitement for the sailing now grows more since we have a cabin number! -
Quick GTY Room question for the pro's

I'll be getting on OV the day you get off! Still waiting on our GTY assignment. Hoping to get it soon. Wednesday will be 16 days out for us so fingers crossed! -
Quick GTY Room question for the pro's
Zenra replied to Robert M's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Similar situation. Got a GTY Balcony on my upcoming Ovation sailing in 24 days. Luggage tags are blank and just have space to write in the room and deck numbers. I can't even do a mock booking to check what rooms they are still selling since the sailing no longer shows up anywhere and the suspense is killing me! -
Question for anyone who might know! I have a Royal Up bid on a Grand Suite for an upcoming cruise. This would obviously be Sky Class and include VOOM, which I usually pay for anyways. Of course the Royal Up could take basically up to cruise day to be accepted or denied, so my question is.. If I book VOOM now, and then win the bid later (say outside of the window where I can make changes on the Cruise Planner), will Royal cancel the VOOM package I paid for separately or will that be a "go to Guest Services and see if they can sort it" kind of situation? I feel like it's probably the latter of the two but the thought occurred to me as I sat here working (instead of sailing ) today.

Just did CT on Wonder and the drinks are part of the whole experience. I did have a drink package, so I didn't really think about it to be honest, but even when I booked the experience, all the wording leads me to believe it's included since it's a paired tasting with the food. Even wording on the site when I look for my upcoming sailing implies it's all included. Enjoyed it all. The martini at the end (Salted Caramel Espresso Martini) was really good and the only complaint all of us had at the table was that we couldn't have more of it.

First Royal Caribbean Ship you Sailed On Pt 2
Zenra replied to Southern Dan's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Voyager was my first Royal cruise, 4th in my life. Caught the bug after that one! -
When I sailed on Wonder a few weeks ago out of Canaveral there was a couple with The Key and they were told by the agent: "The Key is no longer in terminal." so they didn't get priority boarding or anything like that. I do wonder if it was the time (it was 1PM) that mattered or if it was a policy for The Key at PC now? Only been on RC out of Canaveral once so not sure, maybe someone else here knows. If it's a policy now I truly don't see the value in The Key there since that's one of the very few actual perks it has for the price they offer it at. For the record on that sailing I never saw The Key under $55/person per day (7 nights) in the several months leading up to the sailing. That being said, did use The Key once out of Galveston last year (it was on sale for $2 more per day than just getting VOOM alone which I always get) and still got prio boarding. That was back in February though so maybe it's changed.

Super Mario 12,000 Cruise Points

An impressive amount! Also neat that they made actual signs for it, thought that was a nice touch. -
Star of the Seas Preview Sailing
Zenra replied to Kelseylovestocruise's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
I have that as well "Q1 CLUB ROYALE NEWSLETTER OFFER" which is just a freeplay offer for me. I do have a Star offer for the 20th Showcase Sailing that showed up sometime in the last 24 hours: "2025 STAR OF THE SEAS GIVEAWAY" -
You would get it on the next reset, so 2026 as you mentioned. I had wondered the same thing the first time I hit Prime but I didn't get the comp until they reset for the year and handed them out to everyone. Thinking on it now as I type this, since the cert is based off of your accrued points for the year, not just tier, it makes sense to only send them out once a year.

This is my hope honestly.

No Royal Night on Harmony of the Seas 2025
Zenra replied to Jerry228's topic in Royal Caribbean Dining
I would recommend checking in the app under the Main Dining and selecting the different nights (it's probably on Night 6) and it should tell you the menu for each day. FWIW last week on Wonder 7N, night 6 was Royal Night. -
Agreed. When I was on Ovation, one of the arms only worked for a couple of days, which led to a long line or people not using it. So seemed kind of pointless. On Wonder last week, both arms worked but it's really a one and done kind of bar. You do it once, enjoy the spectacle, then move on to another bar that can make different drinks. It didn't seem to have much of a crowd other than the seats being used occasionally since it was on the promenade. A different bar without the robots would probably do better.

Oh neat, my cert this year will be 2 "tiers" higher than last year.

Recommendations what to do at Charlotte Amalie?
Zenra replied to Chimo2u's topic in Shore Excursions
Yes! Just got back home from the cruise last night. We did this excursion and had 26 people on the cat with us + one other cat that looked to also be around the same number of people. Not too crowded at all. The crew was fantastic (one turned out to be from my hometown and friends with one of my longtime friends as well, so that was a cool) the waters were beautiful and the snorkeling didn't disappoint. Saw tons of fish and reef life, even had a sea turtle swim a few feet from my face which was a new experience for me. They of course had rum punch and snacks after the snorkel for the journey back. All in all it was an excellent experience and we were very pleased with it - thanks for the recommendation! -
Indy gets to CoCo Cay 2 hours before we do on the 8th so hoping we don't miss out on all the spots but we shall see.

I've yet to try Costco travel. I typically use United (Airlines) Cruises since they offer card member bonuses and generally works best for me if I'm not booking a Casino Comp. Similar to what @Traveling Mike said for Costco though, they don't check on things for you or adjust pricing. You have to check yourself and get in touch.

Oh yeah 100%, the port being 45mins away is awesome for sure! I couldn't imagine having the logistics of a flight and hotel for every sailing.

It wouldn't hurt to have it on in case your cellular accidentally gets turned on. But the one you already have enabled is the exact setting you want for calling over WiFi.
