Favorite Royal Caribbean Ship Class
Ryansox replied to Southern Dan's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
I can only speak for the 3 cruises I've been on so far. Independence, Ovation, and Oasis. With Utopia, Independence (again), and Brilliance coming up. Freedom class ship was my first cruise and it was nice but lacked the wow factor for me. Quantum class is MY favorite because the ships are newer (it really feels modern and luxurious), has more of the modern features and dining, without the crowds of the Oasis Class. Oasis class is my least favorite because man there's A LOT of people. Maybe people isn't my thing. You could just feel all the thousands of people on both port and sea days. Don't get me wrong I love central park, the aqua theater, and all the other unique things with the class. -
Makes no sense. My cruise on Independence in May 2026 shows nothing but my cruise on Brilliance in October 2026 has things up already.

The number of men and women that come out of the public restrooms and don't do the washy washy is disturbing

My wife and I are CRAZY about hygiene and diet. We take lots of vitamins and get lots of sleep before our cruises. We have yet to get sick, while everyone else around us couching and hacking. Lots of things always going around on cruise ships just like traveling anywhere except you are in tight quarters..... My favorite thing is all the nasty people who go to the bathroom and don't wash their hands...it's not just the men but the woman too, ya"ll NASTY.

Have breakfast with my favorite fancy coffee and fresh juice delivered to my suite in the morning. Bring dinner and drinks into the room for family dining on the balcony

I'm curious to what it will be as well. Most of the standard European itineraries seem to be already up. My wife and I want to do an anniversary cruise in the greek isles. We're waiting to see what Europe 2.0 brings.

I cancelled 9 things on 11/8/24 and still waiting on refunds. It's never taken more than 2 business days for me before. This is crazy

RCCL Alaska Cruise from Hell
Ryansox replied to Cruiser_on_ship's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
While I completely understand your post. My wife and I spent about $9,000 on our May 9th Ovation Alaskan Cruise. We had A LOT of issues. Port cancelled about a month out and replaced with Victoria, BC (which isn't in Alaska and completely the reason why we booked our specific cruise), ship arrived in port late around 2pm which caused chaos at the port causing us to get onboard starting at 6pm, rooms weren't ready until 8pm, we didn't get our luggage until 1AM, we couldn't see the glacier, the list can go on and on. What we decided to do was to make the most of it. We spent sooooo much money and time planing and anything can go wrong. Could of happened with any other cruise line. We still had a blast on our cruise and really looking forward to hopefully returning to Alaska one day. -
I thought sometimes rooms are held back by contracts like Travel Agents sometimes. Those rooms get released at a certain time if the TA doesn't sell them.

If you have the UDP, can you email your suite concierge and can they make the dining reservations for you?

We decided to bid for the first time on only our 2nd cruise. We went from an ocean view balcony to a grand suite on Ovation of the Seas. We bid $1,500pp which was slightly above the minimum. We actually bid $1,000 which was the max bid for the junior suite, which we were slightly expecting to get. To our surprise we won the grand suite. When we booked our cruise grand suites were going for $11,000 and we got the room for just around $5,000 all in. We consider that a score because we get all the benefits minus the double points for over half the price!!!

Integration of RC Loyalty Programs
Ryansox replied to Dennis Blazey's topic in Royal Caribbean News and Rumors
True but that merge was kinda a disaster for a few years after as they messed up a lot of peoples stuff. Either way I'm looking forward to a combined loyalty program as I've never sailed with Celebrity, I've seen some awesome itineraries I'd love to try one day. -

May 9th on Ovation!!!! -
If you are talking about the 14 day transatlantic from Miami to Barcelona it looks like it is $824.99 per adult and $213.99 per child https://www.royalcaribbean.com/account/cruise-planner/category/pt_packages/product/Y7OE?bookingId=000000&shipCode=OA&sailDate=20240421
