Andonini842 got a reaction from TessFromFlorida in Southampton cruise port to Heathrow by 4pm flight?
As someone who lives very close to Southampton, you shold be absolutely fine here. Southampton is about 90 minutes by car to Heathrow if the traffic is light - allow double that if you are travelling during rush hour. Any local taxi firm in Southampton will be able to help you. We always stay at the Hyatt Regency in Jersey City due to the incredible views and also its transport routes - Path Train and ferry links. But it is not the most central hotel -but the rooms are much larger and the prices are attractive.  Perhaps this is worth a look?  https://www.hyatt.com/en-US/hotel/new-jersey/hyatt-regency-jersey-city-on-the-hudson/newjp

Andonini842 got a reaction from DoomSlayer in Do we really need separate insurance for a cruise?
Hello, this is a really interesting question as we have annual multi-trip insurance but without cruise cover.  We simply buy cruise cover for when we need it (like 7 days) as it works out cheaper this way. I think cruise cover is important though as it covers you if you miss your ship on a port day (for travel to next port of call) plus repatriation cover and also compensation if you are confined to your cabin due to illness.
