  1. Thanks Patty!!! I’ll have a call put back in to the Casino Dept.
  2. Does your open reservation made with NC while onboard still provide the OBC after completing the booking of an Instant Certificate earned on that same cruise? We earned a 2K point instant cert on our Symphony TA in March and opened a booking at NC before getting off in Barcelona. After getting the printed cert from Chris Wong we applied it to that open booking with the casino dept when we got back home in the states about 2 weeks later. We are now on Explorer, the booking made on that certificate, but we did not receive our $100 OBC. Next Cruise here says we should have but sometimes Casino Reps apply their codes wrong and wipe out the NC OBC code and asked me to place StS call back to central casino reservations to correct it. Wen I spoke to them they indicated that a casino discount could not be combined with a next cruise OBC so therefore I received the casino discount and lost the OBC. At least we still got the free play associated to the cert for booking with NC while onboard.
  3. Reduced down to specialty coffees only but now 15 punches
  4. We are originally from New Orleans but got sent to TX in 2007. We should plan our own M&M for our large group here.
  5. Precisely. It takes more sometimes on a longer cruise.
  6. I completely understand that they are basing the current policy “Per Cruise” and by the current policy, your example of 5 B2B 3 night cruises would allow you to bring 10 bottles. Not my logic but the way the current policy is written. My only point was that at some point it would be nice if they did address the longer single trip cruises based on nights as well.
  7. So I noticed this part of your comment a it got me investigating a question that I already had and then calling RCL to clarify about the wine allowance per cruise. If we book B2B 7night trips this allows us to bring 4 bottles total for our 14 nights, however they told me that no allowance is made if you have booked a 15 night trip and we are still held to only 2 bottles per the policy. I’d be more than happy to surrender 2 bottles to be delivered to the room on day 8 of our sailing. I applaude their allowance for folks traveling on B2B trips but cannot understand their reluctance to make the SAME allowance for people traveling even longer on a single trip. This is when my analytical logic based thinking goes completely counter to RCL’s illogical policies.
  8. These are all headed to Explorer on Sunday for our TA to Rome.
  9. Evidently not many folks here on this trip. We just added it yesterday as a Casino comp. Can’t wait to do it all over again. Just got off Symphony on a TA to Barcelona.
  10. Just created an order on our cruise planner and to add insult to an already high price they add $10 in gratuities making it a total of $65 for 24 water bottles. They do not specify size anywhere so no way I would take a chance on ordering $65 worth of water for our upcoming trip.
  11. My wife brought so many ducks on our last TA cruise last month on Symphony that they would not fit in her luggage so we shipped them to the hotel in Miami ahead of time. My Mom (83) and her sister (80) who joined us on the trip had so much FUN hiding them and then watching people find them that it was one the primary highlights of their trip. For my wife her joy started long before our trip as she was customizing each of her ducks. She spent our trip handing out her ducks to very young children and to crew members who we interacted with in the Casino, bars, and dining areas all over the boat. Every person (especially crew members) was exceptionally excited about receiving their own duck. It’s just a fun addition to the cruising life that brings joy to those that hide / give or find / receive.
  12. We got 24 bottles a couple of weeks ago for our TA on Symphony and they were standard 20 oz or so bottles. Definately not 1 L. I went to place another order of 24 for our second TA in 2 weeks and the price is almost double at $55. I guess water is the litmus for ALL things to come.
  13. We did get our onboard voucher and there are 8 pages of available trips. We tried to book our preferred trip (10 night ABC repo trip) but it was already “sold out” for comps with only GTY cabins available so we booked the Open Cruise Deposit with Next Cruise and plan to get booked on one of the available sailings as soon as we get back home next week. We are currently still traveling in Europe post disembarkation. We did miss out on a couple of shows but felt the time put in to achieving Prime would pay off for us in the next 12 months. We are still waiting for our ClubRoyale status to update to Prime so we can start taking advantage of the mailed trips as well.
  14. My wife and I just completed a 12 night TA where our goal was to make Prime status during the one trip due to Club Royale end of year coming on Mar 31. We had earned only 300 points on our first trip back on RC since COVID in Jan so we needed to get the remaining 2200 points on this sailing. We brought a $1500 bankroll with the plan to split time between my time at the Craps Table and then playing slots with my wife. We knew the slots would bring us a higher amount of points but at a higher cost per point. I tracked our Casino spend vs. Points earned each day (through Slot totals and Casino Host updates) and figured our $/pt. to achieve Prime. Below is my high level notes as I also tracked at each slot machine $/pt to see which we should ultimately focus on. We started out exceptionally strong the first night on slots by working our $6 free play into a +$200 and earning 204 points. (+.98/pt) Second day we earned 127 pts in 2 hrs of craps play with a $75 loss, and 112 pts on slots with a $150 loss. (- $.94/pt) Third day got us 50 pts on Craps in 1 hour with a -$100 cost, and 142 pts on Slots with -$150 in cost. (- $1.30/pt). Day 4 brought us a couple of nice Slot payouts in the $200 - $400+ range and a +$24 on the craps table so our cost was significantly reduced. Slots got us 270 pts while 1 hr of Craps earned 50 pts. (+$.78/pt) Fifth day got us 310 Slot points at a cost of -$136 and 34pts on the Craps table while winning $84. This provided our largest single day point total of 346 points at an avg cost of $.15/pt. (-$.15/pt) Sixth day we earned another 295 slot pts at a cost of $200 and 46 pts at the Craps table while breaking even for the night. Total for the day 332 pts at a -$200. (-$.60/pt) Seventh day we started “chasing points” and only played Slots which ultimately cost us a more significant part of our bankroll. We only earned 288 pts and costing us $350. (-$1.22/pt) On Day 8, as we neared the goal, our drive to succeed got stronger and the chase ultimately cost us our highest amount -$285 for only 133 Slot pts. Craps at least brought in +$45 and earned us 27pts. (-$1.57/pt). At a the start of Day 9 we were down to needing only 111 total points to make Prime and had 4 more days so we decided to go back to our previously patient strategy and it paid off. We earned 130 pts while winning $80 in Slot play so we MADE PRIME and celebrated our accomplishment with a free drink thanks to our new Prime Sticker. (+$.62/pt) The next 3 days we only casually played each night for the Snowball and Jackpot raffles but managed to add some back to our bank roll to take back home with us. Total outlay from our original bankroll came to right at $850 but (coulda, shoulda, woulda) been in the $500-$650 range had we stuck to our original strategy. Our total cost per point broke down to 349 Craps Table Pts at -$100 cost (-$.29/pt) and 1817 Slot points at a cost of -$750 (-$.41/pt). We enjoyed the time we spent in the casino and met lots other fantastic folks trying to accomplish the same thing as us. We are all planning future comp trips already from our new found Casino status for next year.
  15. I was wondering the same thing. I guess we can at least claim setting a record for “The Guiness Book of World Records “. Was actually a very pleasant trip without feeling at all too crowded.
  16. Went to our Chase branch last week to order Euros for this same cruise to Barcelona. Very easy and only took 2 days. But we are only 3 days from embarkation so might be too late to do it this time. Will say the easy process was offset y te terrible exchange rate but you usually can’t have it all.
  17. I don’t recall an age restriction as we had 6 adults in our group. The further South you go the less traffic or other obstacles so ????
  18. Got 2 carts In January while there from Red Carts. They meet you in the parking lot right behind the stores at the port and you drop off in the same location when you return. The reservations are through email basically and payments in cash when you arrive. Very efficient and great quality equipment. We rented the new carts they advertised on their website. Just watch the speed bumps through town. My wife shot our third passenger off the back seat when she didn’t see a speed bump in time EVERY place we stopped all the way down to the Chunky Monkey which is the “official end of the line” for Red Shirt cart rentals had plenty of cart parking.
  19. Guess some could claim an increase in their allotment if 3 adults in one room
  20. We’re at the Hampton on 42nd Ave. next week before TA on Symphony. Was a little cheaper a few months back but needed the close proximity to the airport for Mom and her sister traveling in together before us. Now, thanks to this thread, I am really stoked to have late lunch at Airport Cafe & Liquor !! Looks amazing. Thanks @bobroo for the tip on them. Love hitting family owned, local cuisine, hole-in-the-wall type places while traveling. NO CHAINS allowed.
  21. LOL. Yep. Ships are known for low odds all over the casino. And what many folks don’t realize is that they won’t use an odds bet as part of your comps calculations.
  22. Hoping we have good interest on our TA in 2 weeks on SOTS. We’ll have to make sure our “celebrity casino host” @CHRIS WONG amps up the Craps Play and gets us plenty of playing time. I’m hoping to complete my Prime on this trip.
  23. Thanks for updating us @Cakemeister. Hopefully the replace a table soon since ROTS should remain at U.S. ports for a while.
  24. We are on SOS for TA in March. Have used same single multi plugs before on RCI ships with no issues. Hopefully Symphony does not confiscate ours as would be dead with only 2 plugs plus my EU power adaptors.
