  1. Cruise compass say early bird 630am to 7am. Then breakfast 7 to 11am. What's early bird, just coffee etc?
  2. I can't help but feel Nassau comes up most here because more ships and people have probably stopped there. I don't think it best or worst, but does have some of the nicest breaches. (Private hotel that is. Not public)
  3. Ok, if you had to pick just one port for an excursion. (The others stay on board) Cozumel, Costa Maya, or Roatan. Which would it be and why?
  4. I never noticed on other cruise lines a "Spanish VAT" before? Maybe I missed it? But for my Wonder in May it's in several places in the app. P.S. maybe it's wrong because it wouldn't be the first app mistake I found this week alone.
  5. Did you book that with Royal in the past? Considering it for my May trip.
  6. I just bought some long sleeve rash guard spf 50 shirts for our trip because many excursions want reef safe sunscreen screen or non at all and recommend those shirts for Sun protection. I'm wondering if they will help keep things from coming in direct contact with skin as well. Hey, every little bit helps right. Note: I would still apply safe sea before putting shut on for this island to be extra safe.
  7. Helpful. Something to think about. Is the one place really more party vibe then the other? Looking for calm and quiet. It's just Mr Sanchos had much better current reviews. Are there cabs waiting outside these places or does a call have to be made? Thanks.
  8. Noticed in app yesterday that my dinning reservation got messed up. Was supposed to be 8pm for MDR, but says 5:15. I sent a message to customer service in the app, to avoid another long phone call wait. What are the odds it will work? Lol.
  9. Oh, another thing. Please, please buy and use water shoes. I never go in without them. To step on one, get stung, and have to walk on a sting. No way, not me.
  10. Aug is the high season for them in the Bahamas. The longer the water has been hot (jun, jul, aug) the more likely to have larger numbers. But they can pop up anytime. One bite is just a sting for 20 min most times and the sprays really do help. Don't let it stop your fun.
  11. I just read reviews of both places suggested above and that one has some really bad reviews that are recent. Reviews by people who have been in the past and say it has gone down hill recently. Just fyi. Also, Mr Sanchos looks interesting (even though I specifically said Royal excursions only). Because I stress a lot about making it back to ship in time. I know there are plenty of taxis at port, but how plentiful are they out at Mr Sanchos for the return? (The stress part) And just how far is it?
  12. I make myself white. I really cover up. Only got bit once. It stung about 20 mins. It's not a guaranty, but enough of it on makes it hard for anything to stick to you. I say it protected me 9 out of 10 times. Not too bad.
  13. Anymore anything goes. You will not be turned away in anything but wet swim clothes. Many, many people have jeans and t shirts even. Yes, some dress. But most tell you that because for some reason it's important to them what others have on. Polo and khakis are the norm middle range.
  14. Also thinking about purchasing some of the individual lunch deals instead. My sailing has 4 specialty restaurants open for lunch on multiple days.
  15. First aid has spray. But you can get a small bottle of jellyfish bite spray online and just carry it with your sunscreen. That way you don't have to schlep all the way to first aid. I also use a ton of Safe Sea.
  16. The app is in the google play store. Also android here.
  17. That's so odd. Mine is from the app and I only downloaded it about 2 months ago, so it should be an up to date version. Wouldn't let me take a screen shot like yours.
  18. Nicer and bigger then my first cabin on Carnival 25 yrs ago!
  19. Perfect person to ask I guess. What is the average rate charged from Port Canaveral to MCO? I know it varies, just looking for general idea.
  20. What does the little blue and white hand over our initial mean?
  21. Consider looking at YouTube tours of both before you decide. (If you haven't already) there are several good 1 hour tours to watch. They really sell it for me. And my money would be on Oasis. There is just so much more places to see. Not just young people activities like zip lines etc. But more restaurants and lounges music etc for 50 plus folk like us.
  22. Another perfect example. On the app I'm looking at lunch menus. More interested in specialty dinning for lunch. Giovanni's Italian Kitchen is open for lunch on Day's 1, 5, and 7. Just looked at menu for all to see if it was the same. (Most usually are). On Day's 5 and 7 there is no adult menu. Only "kids entrees" and "kids desserts". Lol. I'm going to assume they serve adults for lunch on day 1, 5, and 7??? Or do I just try to reserve day 1? Lol.
  23. Ok, it won't let me take a screen shot, so I copied and pasted. And yes it's from the 3 night, not the UDP. Why do they say "Unlimited" when it's only 3. Is it me or is that paragraph misleading? (Not questioning you mind) There descriptions just drive me nuts sometimes. What's Included Unlimited visits to specialty dining restaurants every night of your sailing and lunch on sea days. For restaurants with a la carte pricing, you’ll receive a $20 food credit.
  24. Ok, so in the planner it says enjoy dinner every night and lunch on sea days. Since it's a 3 night plan I assume every night is wrong? But does it mean on 3 days you use it you can do lunch, dinner, and as much as you can fit in one day, each of the 3 days of your choice? Or just 3 meals. Like if you use for lunch and dinner on same day, that becomes 2 out of 3? Just a little confused.
