If you're not going to Bermuda/Canada, just pick up any ole at home test
We are stopping in Canada so we need an observed test

I had an appointment to use on point this morning for our COVID tests and they canceled and won’t be available until our sail date. Anyone know of another service like this we can schedule for today?

We've had things canceled AFTER we boarded (and not just those that happen because of an itinerary change necessitated by weather or a medical emergency).
It doesn't happen often, but it's not something new.
Did they offer you any compensation for canceling it?

Hello. We are to set sail on Quantum in 3 days and I was just emailed that they have canceled our excursion in Skagway. This is the second excursion in Skagway that has been canceled. (At least with that one they gave us each $40 OBC to soften the blow) And now there are no other excursions that are showing as available. (I know I can book thru a private company but I like the comfort of knowing it’s thru Royal) Anyone else had excursions canceled this close to sailing?

Our 5pm flight is on Southwest so I think we are going to be out of luck to use it. It says the cutoff for Southwest is a 4pm flight

Correct, and OBC is not cash.
I saw you can trade in your OBC to play in the casino “If you would like to use your onboard credit in the casino, please note that you will only receive promotional chips or slot play, which you will not be able to cash in” but,can you cash in your winnings once you’ve spent the amount of the OBC? For instance you have $20 OBC and you’ve spent that but are now up. Can that be cashed out?

We’ve done this for our last 3 cruises since my wife’s gluten free and can’t drink many of the drinks, it’s a fairly easy process and if there is something she wants we just pay for it accordingly.
Did they make her buy another package? I called yesterday to try and book one of the deluxe drink packages for my husband. (I can’t drink because of some medications). I have the soda/internet package already booked but they told me I would have to have the other refreshment package.

Hello we are on the Sept 19th sailing on Quantum. (29 days to go!) We had an excursion in Skagway scheduled at 07:30 prior to the itinerary change. Now we are set to be in Skagway at 1100. I’m assuming they are still working to see if they can change the time of the tour but getting nervous that is is getting closer and closer but haven’t heard anything about this one. If they are just going to cancel it I would like to know sooner vs later so I can book a new excursion. I would hate to just cancel the one we have because we really want to do this one. Anyone who is closer to sailing or already sailed with the Alaska changed itinerary have this issue and how close to sail did they “fix” it. Thanks in advance.

I saw that Princess had to adjust some of their sailings because of the dock issues. It looks like most of their Alaska sailings (21 of them) are still going to go there but they had to change 10 sailings.

Excursions for 8/22 sailings are now posted for Ketchikan in cruise planner.
We are on the 9/19 sailing and the Ketchikan excursions posted for us too. We also got the email that out Icy Straight excursion had been refunded but haven’t heard anything about the excursions for Skagway and Juneau which are booked but now outside of the time we are in port. I wonder if those times will just be adjusted or they will cancel them all together. If they plan on canceling I’d like to know sooner versus later to be able to book something else

I'm on the August 1st sailing and as of today (day 4th) the itinerary has remained with no issues. We received the OBC on Day 2 and it was more than what they are offering to the late August and September sailings. Yes, we miss not being able to view the glaciers, but so far we have enjoyed the cruise. Read today on James Van Fleet instagram that the Radiance was not able to visit Hubbard's Glacier due to fog. My friend went in July on the Norwegian Sun and they weren't able to visit the glaciers due to the fog too. So, In my humble opinion, RC decision on skipping the glaciers instead of shortening the time in the ports was a good call.
How soon after changing your itinerary we’re you able to book new excursions? Would like to book some new excursions now that some of the others will have to be canceled (I will be on Sept 19th sailing)

Just got the same email for our Sept 19 sailing

Has anyone here used the Port of Seattle’s “Port Valet” service? They take your bags from the ship and bring them to the airport so you can enjoy Seattle before your flight without worrying about bags. Just curious how the experience was. We have a 5pm flight out the day the cruise ends.

Hello. We are a little over 50 days from our upcoming cruise. I was looking at the app under the daily planner/my calendar and noticed that for one of our excursions it now says “docked” next to the name of the excursion. When I click on it I get a message saying “your excursions reservation. For further details or to change or cancel….” (My other excursions bring up the full details when I click them). Has anyone else had this before?

I always have a cup on the counter in my cabin with one's and five's in it, just for tipping. No issues looking for a tip last minute. Especially at breakfast I am barely awake! They really appreciate the tips you give them.
How much do you normally tip here?

This same thing just happened to me for my Norway Cruise last week. Unless you get a cancellation email, I wouldn't be too worried. If it continues to show up in your calendar, it's booked.
Thanks so much! Makes me feel better knowing you had the same and it turned out okay Hope you had a great trip

Hello. We are booked on Quantum for September 19th. We had booked a wildlife safari tour months ago. I have been checking back at prices and about a month or two ago (before the engine issues) I noticed it no longer is showing as an option. Other excisions which are sold out are still showing but this one isn’t. When I log into my profile it does still have it under my cruise calendar (if that’s what it’s called) and if I click there it gives me a description. Just thought it was strange that it’s gone from the excursion list. Anyone else have this before?

I purchased a cruise June 8th (2022) - for Aug 21 (2022) sailing. I see its now a few hundred bucks cheaper.
I purchased off the site. However, the best price guarantee is different than what i see posted on here in replies. It states
Spot a better price on your booked cruise?
Our Best Price Guarantee lets you take advantage of a better price within 48 hours from the time you booked— just give us a call or use our online form. You’ll receive the difference as a non-refundable onboard credit inside final payment or rate adjustment outside final payment.
For more information on the Cruise with Confidence Best Price Guarantee for sailings booked on or before March 31, 2022, that depart on or before September 30, 2022, click here.
I guess im screwed in negotiating for some OBC because i paid, and i didn't spot any price within 48 hours of time i booked?
Im sure people tried getting OBC in the past - but im wondering if anyone has done this in the past few weeks or so.
thanks
I have a cruise booked for September which we booked in May. I saw the price had gone down about 3 weeks ago. I called Royal and told them I saw the price had gone down and had asked about a “reprice” They asked for my reservation number and looked up our room. They confirmed the price had gone down $200 and gave us a refund. (They told me since I had already paid in full it would be a refund in difference. Which for me was best anyway vs on board credit) I had originally made the mistake asking for “best price guarantee” and was told I don’t qualify before realizing I should say “reprice” Good luck!

This is where I saw it.
Onboard Experience - Royal Caribbean International
This is the generic description of the excursion on RCL website. If you look in 'Important notes' it says 'parties under 3 guests will share a jeep'. If it doesn't say so on your cruise planner booking, maybe that is no longer the case.
You are awesome! Thanks so much for finding that!

If I recall correctly, I think the excursion description states that that Jeeps are shared if less than 3 people.
Thanks! I don’t see it listed anywhere that they are shared for less than three. All I can find is “equipped for four fellow explorers” and “sit in the drivers seat of your exploration vehicle” Just seems odd that if we are driving they would put us with strangers. Like Speednoodles said driving with a random unvetted person seems like something most people would not be comfortable with. Wishing it was spelled out in the description “You will be matched to fill the jeep” or something like that. We don’t go until September so maybe someone will go before we do and can report back

Hello. My husband and I are booked for Alaska in September. We were looking to book the Back County Jeep Adventure at Icy Strait Point. We noticed that this excursion is per person versus per Jeep. If it is just the two of us, how likely it is they will put other people in our Jeep? Thanks in advance.
Help! On point just canceled

We ended up doing ours thru the county for free. I was worried doing it this way initially because they say results would be in 1-3 days Thankfully we got our results early this morning and are now at the airport headed to Seattle to board the ship tomorrow Hopefully next cruise we take we will not need to test and be rid of one stress!
