Thanks everyone for the reply, greatly appreciated.
Just wondering when dining in the main dining room for breakfast or lunch is there a dress code? Or for example can I wear a casual t-shirt flip flops and shorts?
Time.

Hi, I used the 3 day dining package back in June. Yes, you have to pick either Day 1 or Day 2. But once you are on board, either go to the nearest specialty restaurant or dining kiosk. There you can switch your courtesy booking to any day plus reserve your other 2 meals. Since I had an 11 am boarding time, I was able to get everything I wanted. But go prepared - knowing which restaurants and what days/times you want along with a plan B, plan C, and a plan Z.
Thanks so much for your reply.. Where can I find the nearest dining kiosk? Is that in the main dining area?

Just wanted to inquire about the 3 day dining package which I purchased.
I understand you need to do a courtesy booking for either day 1 or Day 2?
Once I board the ship can I make the reservations all on the app? But if for some reason it doesn't work, I can make all the bookings at the specialty restaurant?
Also can I make the reservations for dining but not on Day 1 and day 2 of the cruise? But rather for example book them day 3,4 and 5?
Thanks again for all your help in advance.

Hello everyone, will be attending my first cruise on November 12, really excited but at the same time overwhelmed. There's so many things to do on the ship, restaurants, shows, activities, attractions, bars, etc. etc. I have this feeling of fear of missing out on anything. To my expert cruisers out there, any advice on how to properly prepare and plan for the cruise. Do you guys take a day or two to map it out, and plan what you will do daily. OR do you take things daily, look at the cruise compass and plan it and be more spontaneous. Any advice or feedback or tips on how you plan your cruise to make it the best cruise experience ever would be greatly appreciated. Many thank you's in advance.

My experiance in Sep at Terminal A on Symphony was awful using Uber from an Airport hotel to the terminal. W had a 10:30 boarding time and left our hotel at 9:15. It was all of 10:25 till we were able to get out of the uber at port, with the additional wait/delay time charged by Uber the original $17 ride was charged at $28+. at that time we did walk right on to the ship but the wait time to turn the hair pin corner at the far end of the terminal was horrendous. There was an inside lane for Taxis and Shuttles that was moving much faster.
Am leaving from the same Terminal on Oasis later this month and am conflicted between going even earlier or taking a taxi for the fast lane.
Sorry to hear about your experience. What made it awful? Was it because the Uber was late in picking you up? Also, did they drop you off right where you needed to e in Terminal A?

Hopefully things have changed, but we had a lot of difficulties using Lyft XL back in February in Miami. Four people with one piece of luggage each seemed to upset drivers. Between the ride from the airport to hotel, hotel to ship, and ship to airport we had four XL drivers refuse to take us because they said didn’t have room.
Interesting side note….I drove for Lyft and Uber for a few years. My Toyota 4Runner wouldn’t qualify for XL trips…..but all the drivers that came for us, including the ones that actually took us, had vehicles the same size or smaller.
I’m not sure if the vehicle standards were lowered because of a lack of drivers, but it was very frustrating. Especially when we were being yelled at in Spanish by one of the drivers.
…..and yes, I requested XL rides, and XL rides are more expensive.
Thanks for sharing that, my option for getting to the port in Miami will be Uber Xl, It will be 3 adults with 1 luggage, I hope they will accept us.

The Uber app will recognize your current location. Double check it to make sure it has the right location for you. It will be specific to the terminal and location. The airport should have a designated rideshare waiting area once you exit the terminal.
You will put in the address you want it to take you to which will be Terminal A Port of Miami. The app tells the driver and gives them directions to whatever you input into the app once they pick you up.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. This has eased my anxiety at this time. Thanks again.

We took an UberXL on our last cruise from Miami. With three people and luggage I would not go smaller than the XL.
Awesome. Thanks I will do the same. To clarify, just tell the uber driver Port of Miami Terminal A?
Also with the uber, when you sign on the app put in the address, they will pick you up at the location where your phone says you are located.
Sorry, just asking because I have not experience with Uber.

Hey Everyone, first time cruising here so any feedback or insight is greatly appreciated.
Will be going on a cruise next month, arriving at Miami airport. My question is what's the best method of transport to Miami port? Taking an uber or taxi? I understand there are taxi's in the arrival area? But some say Uber is more cheaper, I will be with my parents, so we have 3 luggages. Does uber accept luggages? IF anyone has any insight, experience or opinion which is better taxi or uber, it would be great help. Thanks.

Hey everyone, on my upcoming cruise I booked an excursion at St - Thomas - St. John Trunk Bay Beach.
Has anyone been there? Was wondering if they provided beach chairs or umbrellas. Also, wanted to know if they sell food there. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

FYI: Many of the bars may also issue your cups to you. Most recently on Quantum this past August, we got ours at the Harp & Horn.
Thanks so much, on my cruise I will definitely go to the bar to get the cup. Thanks again.

If you bring your souvenir cup can they fill it with soda, for example I'm at the pool bar.
-
Once I board the ship where can I obtain the coca cola souvenir cup ftw? Thanks in advance. Time.

Windjammer does have a bar where you can get soda if you don't want to use the FreeStyle machines. You can also ask a roaming server that's bringing around drinks or clearing off tables and they will go get you soda.
Some Sorrentos do have bar right there and some do not. It's different on each ship.
Boardwalk Dog House on Oasis class ships has a cooler with canned soda that you can get with the package. On other classes of ships they may have some drinks available in the cooler, otherwise you'll have to visit a nearby bar to get a soda. On Quantum class ships there's a FreeStyle machine located at the Dog House, but again, they may also have drinks in the cooler.
Thanks so much, that was very helpful and insightful at this time.

What about the boardwalk dog house? Do they serve any soda here after you get a hot dog or sausage?
-
Where is this? IS it for soda?
-
Thanks everyone for your reply.
So my understanding is that in the windjammer this is a bar where they serve sodas... At Sorrentos complimentary water, ice tea, etc.. But if I want soda, go to nearby bar to get soda, or use coca cola machine?
So Sorrentos doesn't have a bar or drinks to serve soda?
-
Hi all, I'm new to cruising, so just had some inquiries. I have the drink package, which I understand they give you the souvenir cup to fill at the coca cola machine.
My question is, let's say I'm at the Sorrentos or Windjammer and I forgot to bring my souvenir cup, does Sorrento's or Windjammer serve sodas that I can have?
If I wanted a soda but forgot to bring my souvenir cup, does Sorrentos and Windjammer provide soda still? Anyone that can clarify this and give and feedback would be greatly appreciated at this time. Thanks. Time.

It's a short neck massage allowing them time to explain to you all that the Spa offers. Feels good.
Thanks so much, I think I may get that short massage and see what the spa has to offer. Cheers.

I'm set to cruise on November 12th 2022, on Symphony of The Seas.
I"m looking at the app and it says Free massage Tasters - the description "We're offering you a little taste of heaven free of charge because we know you deserve it."
Has anyone experienced this on their cruise? Any information or feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The latest Cruise Compass from a returning guest is from May.

It shows the Solarium Bistro was available for breakfast and lunch but there were no hours listed for dinner.
Thanks so much for this information at this time.

I too also have the photo package. I understand there will be stations where they take photos? Just wondering is it everyday on the ship?
