I can’t pick a line to save my life.  It’s a running joke. I want to make a sign for my back…don’t stand behind me there will be some sort of ridiculous issue that will hold up this line.

I was FIRST in line in Miami in June to our check in agent…..I must have had the person they threw a uniform on to make the lines look staffed.  Mind you the passports and vaccine cards were scanned in, health checks were done….it took this woman 30 minutes to get us through.  I spent the whole time looking for hidden cameras.😩😡

I feel your pain. I suffer from the same unlucky gene of picking slow lines!

  2. First time going to Coco Cay.  I noticed that you can rent a beach mat for approx $20 for the day at Coco Cay. However, does that mean you are limited to one beach or are they available at numerous beaches?  We want to explore the island when we are there for the day, and we love floating on the water, but do not want to be limited to one beach.  Thank you in advance.

  3. Hi, I actually live in Saint John!  I am very familiar with both cities. Saint John is a wonderful, walkable city, beautiful waterfront, great local shopping and beautiful brownstones and parks. Lots of great restaurants and some amazing coffee shops. I really recommend Catapult Coffee & Studio as everything is baked on site, locally roasted beans, and handmade items.  We have the famous city market, one of the oldest in Canada.  Princess Street, Germain Street, King Street, Market Slip, the Loyalist Buriel Ground, all are lovely walks and close to the cruise port. I know that there is the pink double decker hop on hop off buses running and you can also take day trips to areas close by and in some cases, the trip can be an hour away.

Halifax is Saint John on steroids. Much more populated, more shopping, more restaurants, etc. Both are hilly cities, and many beautiful tourist areas nearby. Let me know if there was somewhere in particular you were interested in.

If you're not cruising for a while, call your travel agent (or Royal) and see if you can switch to MyTime.  If not, go to the Maitre' de on embarkation afternoon and request a private table.  No saying it will be in a quiet corner, but you can request a private table.

Thank you, I will definitely try that!

  5. We are in the same situation. My husband changed our cruise and now we are stuck with traditional dining. I also found out that we may have to share a table?  I am on vacation to relax as my job is stressful. I don't want to have to be "on" while dining. I want to reconnect with my husband. I'm hoping it is an easy fix once we get on board. We have never cruised with RC and this is stressing me out. I like a quiet corner not  on top of people.
