Need to arrange transportation back to airport pre cruise transportation is a check Passports don't expire until 2018 but to be safe I will go check. Is lababdee rocky?

Under 300 Days Left. ..Now what

Update because I for some reason like calling to make payments over the phone (I do everything else online I swear) I was able to find out that the current promotion price for my trip is better than what I booked it for. Needless to say the phone call saved me roughly $500 and got me $100 onboard credit in each of my rooms (2 rooms so that is $200 onboard credit). Score! This little savings puts me a month ahead of schedule in my payments. -
Just checking any advice on what I can or should start booking. I am pretty positive I still have a little wait until things like excursions can be booked. I am looking out for flights and hope to have that booked with in the next month or two.

Taking my 9 year old on first cruise!!
amejiajr8 replied to Brian's topic in Royal Caribbean Discussion
Yeah this next trip will truly be a Big Boat ...Allure of the Seas. We had planed to do Disney when my daughter turns 10 but if this one goes well...which I have no doubt it will..that cruise in two years will probably be Royal again and on one of the Quantum Class ships. -

My 8 1/2 year old has done 2 cruise disney & carnival. This summer will be her first royal cruise. What she mentions the most is her excitement to get back on a big boat, swim and visit new islands. The new marketing commercial caught her eye with people swimming in ocean. She hardly mentions the character interactions from Disney anymore. I think as a parent I got more jazzed about meeting Mickey and taking pictures with the Disney crew. -
I take these things into account 1) my budget for trip After that I look at 2) port I would leave from 3) will I need a flight & hotel (goes back to budget 4) then I look at time of year I want to travel that will give me a good idea what is offered 5) then I take into account where I want to go and where have we been. I have done most of western so eastern is our next adventure

Any suggestions on cruising with a parent? My mom has decided she would like to come along on our next family cruise. It's been over 15 years or more since I have traveled with my mom and have my travel habits pretty nailed down from knowing when I want to arrive to the airport and when I want to get to the boat...etc. I don't want her to feel she has to hang out with my wife and I and my girls all the time. Don't get me wrong I think it's cool my mom finally will go on a family trip with us but I just wanted to make sure the vacation still feels like a vacation.

that is great to hear. is there a bus that runs thru there that can get us to the beach or is there a safe walkway to get to beach? Also any good restaurants around the area. I am a year out but all about planning so the family has a smooth vacation and my wife doesn't stress about the details. Also i secretly want to be a travel agent or a vacation blogger.

Just book Emabssy Suites in Ft. Luaderdale that is about a mile from port and a couple miles from beach. The rate included room, transfer from airport to hotel and transfer from hotel to cruise ship. So far this new booking is coming together.
