We loved it for the special seating at the shows, but yeah it didn’t really seem worth it overall.

We had RFID cards on Allure in January (the ones with the chip, right?) and they punched holes in them for us. I like the holes so I can clip it to my lanyard. I’ve lost too many cards in the plastic envelope when I’ve gone out on deck in high wind.

It’s never something I’ve seen to book in advance, just in the cruise compass, and I don’t think I’ve seen one in years. I’ve also attended wine tastings this way.

How often do they change out shows on the ships? We were on Harmony back in 2019 and I’m pretty sure 1887, fine line, and hideaway heist were some of the shows.

I’ve done these twice, both times I ended up so drunk that I was miserable the next day. That said, I have a very low tolerance and only drink on cruises a few times a year. They give you lots of alcohol, lots. One seminar we were shown how to mix the drinks, so we each mixed one for the rest of the group. The other one we sat in the bingo room and they read about the drinks and poured them for us, not really interactive. I don’t do them anymore, I can’t handle my liquor.

My kids love JR, but it’s a treat for sure.

Seriously, I have been wanting to know. What’s the earliest you can get food? Is it just the downtime between Sorrentos closing and WJ opening? What time does the WJ open?

Do you just compare the final total (plus gratuities and insurance) To your original booking, or is there an easier method by just comparing room rates without going all the way to the gratuities and insurance page?

I didn’t see this one in here, but if it it’s a duplicate feel free to delete. We’ve got a bigger than normal group for this cruise, two parents in their 70s, two teenage boys, and a 40 something married couple of which I am half.

How does one go about getting the price drop? What are the rules?

I have paid in full, and for the one I have in September as well. I’ll have to do it for the next one I book though. Do they handle Royal Up requests as well?

I think if you really want a great chair then you should probably lay your things on it before breakfast.

I can’t imagine leaving my stuff on a chair, it would drive me nuts. I won’t even leave my stuff on a table in the WJ.

I might have to try MEI for our next one. What is the transfer time frame? I have one booked for next month that I booked on February 16. Still time to transfer?

None of this stuff bothers me, get up and hog a chair, don’t hog a chair, kudos to the people making it out of bed early enough to even mess with laying their things out on a chair. There are so many chairs, just tons and tons, and I’m on a cruise so it’s all good.

Yep just link the reservation numbers and you can do everything for every reservation. It’ll all show up on your app like they’re all on your reservation. You can do this online without the TA having to do it, I think….

I haven’t used that one, but I use Brave VPN and it works fine on the ships.

I think this is actually going to be the case. I believe Jaime was going to be promoted to head waiter after our cruise. I’d be happy with either, so that would be fine.

Also not good for the Prosecco drinker.

Yeah I’ve tried to figure out how to make it work, but I’m a Diamond so I use my coupons for drinks and I don’t drink soda, juice, specialty coffee. I had to lose bunch of weight about five years ago and in the process I just stopped enjoying anything but water and black coffee, and on cruises a few glasses of Prosecco. Part of a massive lifestyle change that I never went back to. I can drink water like it’s going of style, but the thought of soda or juice, or even cocktails, it’s unpleasant.

We put ours away every morning (I do it). That way I can shower then move to the desk area to put on any makeup I’m going to wear and dry my hair while the kids do their bathroom stuff. It’s very easy, takes 30 seconds.

Having been on the ship in January we have much love for Elvis and Jaime. We’re hoping to be seated in their section again in April. Does anyone know how to go about making this request?
