I'm thinking of booking Chef's Table for our April cruise. We've never done it, but we have done Taste of Royal (and we loved it). Does anyone have any experience with Chef's Table, did you like it?

I love gambling on cruises, it’s the only time I do it. I bring a certain amount of money and don’t plan on going home with any of it. I’ve never won more than a couple hundred dollars, but my husband won $3K on a quick hit machine. That’s the only time we went home with money, and I argued against it. I like it to last so I play with that in mind. If I come to the last day with a couple hundred dollars of my next booked cruise then all the better.

I always forget to do this, but this time I’m remembering. Does anyone know how I go about getting OBC as a stock holder? Thanks!

Looks like we are a go for the April cruise! Since there will only be four of us and just the one room I’m excited about bidding on other rooms if given the opportunity. We currently have a boardwalk balcony. Will I be able to bid on the rooms like CL suites, or am I going to be limited to the outside balcony or lower suite classes like JS? Anyone know? Thanks!

I wouldn’t do it. I can’t imagine being in that situation and having people heckle me.

The only shows we weren't able to see in standby last month were the comedy shows. Every other show we were able to get in without a problem. And we did go to the opening night show where both of the comedians performed family friendly routines, so it was fine.

Okay, the family we are planning with put a 24 hour hold on a room, so we did the same! Hopefully tomorrow this will be a done deal.

I don't have one. I used to have one, but it was a friend and she lost me thousands of dollars once by not telling me about a window in which I either had to accept a new ship or cancel my cruise. It left a bad taste in my mouth. I probably could use one now, but the thought of giving over control, it bugs me.

We're trying to plan a cruise with another family right now. They have a semi firm date in mind but haven't booked yet. Is there any way I can book and then change the booking if I need to swap it in a week or so? Thanks!

As the others have stated our Genie took a few days to reply but it was much quicker as the cruise got to be about a week out. As a matter of fact I think we got an email one week to the day and did a lot of back and forth from there. I’m also a huge planner so the Genie was just kind of a background thing. It was nice having him get us seats to the shows. You’ll have to come back and let us know what you think!

Feel better! My son caught it once on a Disney ship about five years ago. No one else in or two cabins caught it, thank goodness!

We met a lady in the lounge this past cruise who was wearing a pin that said “Pinnacle in Training”. It was the cutest thing ever!

We were able to tender right away with The Key. I don’t have any particular insight into that particular port, but you can get off in One of the first few groups I’d imagine. We never even stood in line for tickets, we just found The Key sign and an attendant took us right down in the elevator.

Yep, my kids will be Diamond Plus by the time they reach 18, so they’ll be the 20 somethings in the lounge.

Don’t worry about it, really. I bring my kids in all the time. It’s a great place to find open tables to play cards, dominos, etc. we’ve never had anyone be anything but nice to us, even offering to change tables if they’re sitting alone at a big one. The chances of someone being rude to you are so incredibly slim, don’t let it bother you at all.

That sucks. I’ve never had anyone act this way to me in a Diamond or suite lounge.

I know you don’t get suite points if you RU, but do you get Coastal Kitchen? It’s the thing I miss most when I don’t book a suite.

On lobster night they specifically told us that we could order another entree in addition to the lobster. There were a couple of nights where I was so full from stuffing myself all day that I ordered two appetizers instead of an entree and that was no issue.

I remember huge swaths of people going from one side of the ship to the other when a pod was spotted. Definitely not something you get on a balcony. It was so cool!
