  1. Sunrise/sunset??? I wanted to send a picture of sunset at midnight on July 31, 2022 but don't know how. For June sunset will be quite late and sunrise quite early. Also going into the fjords, the balcony is the quite place to be, it very peaceful and awe inspiring especially going into the port of Geiranger.
  2. I'll have to remember that.
  3. Also they don't need to be printed in color B&W is fine
  4. Just read that Mariner is going in to dry dock. Other then under the hood work what other things are going to happen? We won't be on her until November.
  5. The one problem is that Elvis and Jaime might not be paired on you sailing. As I think they mix up the waiters and the assistant waiters
  6. Not sure if you can do lunch in the MDR, but go there any way and talk to the Matre 'D about your request. There maybe a charge for the cake.
  7. I've got a cruise that I've highlighted "watching'. Does it let me know if the price drops?
  8. yea, I was lucky and got one. As far as I can tell there is no real obstruction.
  9. I sometimes miss important word. Missed Norway. They might not have the lobster as its not a big item for Europeans. (since early in the European sailing season they might offer some if any are left.)
  10. You might want to also look at Dining topic and see what other people have said. I know the 2ne night or the Formal night is French night. The next to the last night is called Royal night, (also the 2nd formal or dress to impress), which is when the lobster tail is usually served. The last night is called Bon Voyage. The 1st night is called Welcome Aboard. offers a prime rib, but some are good some are not (can be a bit grisly). You also should be able to look on the App.
  11. I just booked a Central Park cabin on Wonder. It's one that has the double balcony. I got my statement and it states a 25% Obstructed view. What makes it 'obstructed view'? Looking at cabin photos I don't see any obstructions, other then the other side of cabin balconies, or is that I don't have a water view or not much sky ?
  12. I think they do decorate for the 31st of October. So when you go around the ship on the 31st there will be some cobwebs, the WJ will be decorated - Jack-o-lanterns, and other eerie carvings
  13. well, that was before Royal changed. That was the only time, I didn't know better. Of course there is a national restaurant chain that didn't make it here in NE. There was one in Pittsfield, MA, but it didn't last long. When we go out to the Finger Lakes area of NY we do eat there, but not for the lobster, DS does like fish so he gets the Cajun Chicken, I usually get the trout, and DH probably gets shrimp. When we do get to the shore is when I get my lobster
  14. I think so, as you see in the picture just above your message, it looks like a cold water one. I live in MA and I cannot taste the difference, Maybe because I don't have them very often (both kinds) I think I have had the warm ones more often the cold ones.
  15. If the robes are not the CA ones can I ask for them?
  16. I've had the grilled branzino in Chops. It was 2 good size pieces (filet). I wasn't too bad.
  17. I guess its not available on all ships. Not seeing it on my next cruise - Radiance. But it show up on my Jewel TZ
  18. We were in a JS a few weeks ago on Mariner and had bathrobes (they were RC brand not the CA type). I know because the week before we were on Odyssey and in a balcony cabin, and because we were D+ got CA robes better quality.
  19. I want to ask why they dropped the Hot Rock option?
  20. Pooch, Have you had the 'new' lobster tail? if so do you think it is a Northern one or still the southern 'bug'?
  21. Yeah, I think they just shuffle the nights after the original 7 nights. I heard the only thing good about the MX night is the chocolate cookie. On Caribbean night I'm thinking of doing a couple of appys , onion soup for my entree, ordering a plate of veggies, & not sure about the desser; had the blueberry cobbler and that was ok, maybe just get some ice cream. Speaking of ice cream, does anyone remember when they also added some kind of cookie?
  22. But even the WJ dinners are 'theme' the same as what is being offered in the MDR. Day 2 is French night in the MDR and in the WJ its called 'Savor La France', yes you can get a few of the original items but the same foods are being offered. The WJ was offering the theme night back in the fall even before they started the theme night is the MDR, so Royal was already trying the theme nights out. I miss my DUCK & Grand Mainier souffle.
