  1. Puerto Rico is a US Territory so mainland USA to PR is considered a domestic flight.
  2. I would prefer morning since that's the most predictable part of our day. We know we'll be out of the cabin between breakfast and lunch. Afternoons and evenings vary more.
  3. I lived in that area for 15 years. Can't say I saw too many people with a chill attitude. Maybe in Annapolis.
  4. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/prohibited-items-onboard-policy Candles, Incense, Coffee Makers, Clothes Irons, Travel Steamers & Hot Plates. (Items that generate heat or produce an open flame. This includes heating pads, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense, and any other item that may create a fire hazard. NOTE: The only exception to this policy is curling irons and hair straighteners.
  5. If your carrier is charging for Wifi calling, you need a new provider.
  6. You get all the onboard benefits of the new room category, just not the booking benefits (aka, points).
  7. While it's still not worth it, it's now 1GB of data.
  8. Update: Bitten by Air2Sea. They put me in economy for one leg despite the confirmation email saying business class for that leg and being charged a full business class fare for an economy seat. That's just how it can work for flights with connections. This rather key detail isn't shown on the website. I cancelled. That leaves a very sour taste in my mouth. The A2S agent was nice and tried to help me out (despite the usual barely being able to hear him, I think they still use rotary phones there). But, oh well.
  9. Air2Sea finally showed more than 2 seats available for the flight I wanted to Panama. I book business class, great. Except when I log into my reservation on United, I'm only business class for 3 of the 4 round trip legs, despite that 4th leg having business class available and despite my Air2Sea confirmation email saying I'm in business class for all 4 legs. Guess I'm going to have to call them anyway.
  10. Mine came in 60 days out for this upcoming cruise.
  11. I looked on 7 different cruises in my watchlist, all have suites. Though I have no Oasis/Quantum cruises in my list.
  12. I still see suites for cruises I'm monitoring
  13. They finished a project last year to deepen the channel to 47 feet.
  14. I think this was the whole reason he was hired to begin with. Much easier to fix things behind the scenes to ensure another Anthem doesn't happen than it is to convince future guests of the same.
  15. I don't even notice the CD as anyone other than that voice that interrupts my day on the PA system. The only CD I can even remember was last year on Navigator, but that was due to her dancing prowess on the 70s/80s show, not due to her CD duties.
  16. I get the newsletter once in a while, though there's rarely anything worth reading. The most recent one had a story about the youngest Pinnacle member, which I only read because we were on the ship when she made Pinnacle a couple years ago.
  17. Reading between the lines https://twitter.com/JamesVanFleet/status/1663638365265092609?s=20
  18. The most I ever talked to a captain on a cruise was Serenade a year ago. He came with his wife to the suite lounge twice. People like their captains, but I've never felt a cruise was better or worse because of the captain.
  19. I just got the RU email for an upcoming cruise on Adventure. Currently in a GS. Minimum bids are: OS: $295 RS: $115 GT: $145. Interesting that the royal suite is cheaper than the other two. Granted, the only cabin currently available is a single OS, but I'm surprised at those low upgrade minimums.
  20. The value of a good travel agent is how they protect your reservation, not what kind of deal you can get. That doesn't mean they can't get a better price, but pricing isn't the key benefit with an agent like MEI.
  21. Since you have no insurance, your only reliable choice is to just pay the $100pp and move the cruise to a later date.
  22. Agreed. But I definitely enjoyed Serenade for Alaska and Jewel for a "can't beat the price" 8 nighter. And going on Rhapsody through the Panama Canal surely won't make me miss bigger ships either.
