  1. I would do this. Since you have all the original docs saying everything was paid, they may be receptive.
  2. I couldn't find any reason. It's not listed in the Bermuda cruise tax policy that the country publishes. Maybe there's a higher than average cancellation rate on Bermuda cruises?
  3. I never knew about it either. Actually looks like it's relatively recent. Here's today's FAQ which mentions Bermuda: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/deposit-requirements Then from last August, which doesn't mention Bermuda https://web.archive.org/web/20230807190820/https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/deposit-requirements
  4. The fact they sent this email is odd, yet because of that that I'd keep this email in case later they say "hey, you never paid the full deposit"
  5. True, I was assuming 2 pax. But even my cruise, with 3 pax, only required the minimum. But that was NextCruise, so maybe that's why.
  6. $1000 deposit "because it's Bermuda?" Odd indeed. I have a Bermuda cruise next year and paid no additional deposit.
  7. Sending that email really doesn't do anything for altered diet types of situations unless they need to ensure certain ingredients are on board. Talk to the head waiter when you board then even the person in charge of each dining venue and they'll explain things for you. There was a man on a recent cruise who sat near me in the MDR who was on a low sodium diet and he seemed to have no issues.
  8. Do they? Yes, but you'll get a terrible exchange rate. Better to just use your credit card.
  9. When it happens on a balcony it seems like it's usually someone screwing around, like trying to get to another balcony.
  10. It sure sucks. I don't envy your situation. I've learned to scour over every cruise invoice the second I get it looking for anything out of place.
  11. They added the ability to set the number of guests. I wish they'd let you tie it into a current booking to show a true price difference.
  12. I wonder if it's one of those great cruise planner mysteries and that anyone trying to book it is getting the same error.
  13. It's a solid seabed, but had no issue walking in bare feet. It's not sharp and very few sudden drops.
  14. I'm glad they are starting to offer it in the cruise planner. The fact you have to call to book it is archaic.
  15. And that's just the direct transfer? Not one of those "Let's go kill time for a couple hours before we take you to the airport" tours? Not showing for my FLL cruise next March. Then again FLL is the least likely place I'd use their transportation.
  16. I didn't even realize you could book cruise transportation in the planner.
  17. Any post-cruise, cruise-sponsored transportation (excursion or just airport transfer) will have a pre-determined departure time.
  18. I thought the credit card OBC was one of the few that would get refunded if it doesn't get used.
  19. We had Grand Turk and DR back to back last month. I had never been to either. For the purposes of included activities right off the ship, I'd pick Grand Turk over DR.
  20. That works for your room steward, but not the others that you'll likely never see.
  21. Your auto gratuity goes to a lot more than just your MDR staff.
  22. I don't recall the name or the price, but I definitely recall the wonderful aroma of jerk chicken right around the spot where there's inflatable equipment.
  23. There are reports that Radiance is having propulsion issues on its way to Vancouver.
