Christie got a reaction from Matt in Oasis Thoughts
Yea, chefs table was a bit much. I felt like I spent all day recovering from it.
Still haven't seen much entertainment due to our schedule. The oasis of dreams show keeps getting rescheduled due to weather. My sister saw an ice show last night and said it was better than anything she has seen on a Disney boat.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I liked Labadee more than Castaway Cay. I loved the mountainous terrain. I felt like you didn't have to walk far for anything. Loved the blocked off suite beach. More to do. Food was better. Sorry Matt, wasn't a huge fan of the labadoozie (but I'm a light weight and don't really like to taste the alcohol in my drinks lol).
LOVE the open play area for ages 5 and below on board. My daughter could spend all day in there. I can't believe Disney doesn't have something similar.
I'm gonna go ahead and say over all the food is better on RCI as well. I guess I should put the disclaimer that I haven't eaten in the MDR at all yet, but the variety is definitely better and I feel like the food is more incentive and served warmer. DCL's menus can start to feel repetitive.
I wasn't thrilled about the casino on the boat but it's really tucked away.
The concierge team on DCL is better than RCI but the suite benefits are better on RCI.
Miss the little chocolates on my pillow at night on Disney. But I guess for the price difference, I can bring a lot of chocolate on board :)

Christie got a reaction from Jerel in Oasis Thoughts
Just wanted to start a little thread with my random thoughts this far. First RCI cruise, western Caribbean. Used to be primarily a Disney cruiser
-Ship is a lot cleaner than i excepted
- After about a day, you get a good feel of how to navigate the ship
- There are less activities I actually want to participate in onboard than DCL
- Did chefs table last night. Cool experience but was 4 hours long (8 pm- midnight). Needed a designated walker back to the room
Labadee today. Looking forward to trying a labadoozie and falling asleep in our cabana. My one year old is licking the sea salt off of the table on our balcony right now. Kinda gross but kinda funny too. Have a great day, everyone

Tons of stuff to do today, but I find myself at YouTube watching documentaries about Oasis. I'm having a hard time processing how big this boat is going to be in 2 weeks. They say they make 250,000 meals a week. Insane.

Did I see somewhere that if you book right now on Anthem, you get free internet in addition to the current promos? I went through the process of booking online and saw the BOGO and reduced deposit, but never saw mention on the internet. Thank you!

I love love love cruising in Europe. You do all of your travel while you're sleeping, you don't have to pack a bag all the time to move to the next place, and there's always American food on board if you need it :-)

Christie got a reaction from Matt in Overnight in Bernuda
Thanks to Matt's periscopes, I'm now looking at a 5 night anthem of the seas to Bermuda. It's embark- sea day- Bermuda- Bermuda- sea day- debark. Sounds like the perfect cruise to me and an awesome ship to boot.
Never been to Bermuda before. Any tips on things there? When the ship stays in port overnight, is there a certain time you have to be back on the boat at night? Would love any thoughts on this itinerary. It will be for our 3rd anniversary and we will be leaving the almost 2 year old at home.

Christie got a reaction from AGSLC5 in Fort Lauderdale Transportation
The W does not have transfers, and we are ok with that. We could have stayed somewhere cheaper, but it's our Christmas trip :-)
Good to know that Uber can't operate in Fort Lauderdale now, so we are looking at cab or maybe even a private transfer. I didn't know if cab drivers would let you hold your baby or not.
Maybe we will call RC and ask about storing the car seat. That would be the easiest solution and we could use it on the plane too

Christie got a reaction from Matt in Prebooking and Paying
Matt talks a lot in the podcasts about prebooking excursions, dining, etc and how that helps break up the cost of the cruise. I'm assuming that means payment is due at time of booking. Is there any way to not pay when you book something so that it is charged to your shipboard account? Looking to spend some OBC. Thanks!
