  1. This is fantastic! Congratulations on your very prestigious degree. Very few can attain this!
  2. Yep, any time you rebook it's at prevailing rates. That's how sometimes we can adjust prices, other times we can't. It's incredibly rare to have change fees waived. I haven't seen them waived unless it's within 60 days of a nextcruise booking, and that's policy so it's not even a waiving.
  3. If you booked through a travel agent they can put in the preference on your reservation. I am not sure if you can do it ahead of time yourself. But yes, talking to your steward on the first day also works.
  4. Compare the Disney Wish to the Icon of the Seas- then you'll be comparing more similar products- newest, most in demand ship, that's where a better comparison will be. Yes, Disney can be more expensive than Royal Caribbean. It is not always! Also I feel like Royal Caribbean does more nickel-and-diming than Disney does. I like both cruise lines, but I wouldn't criticize people for paying for DCL. If you don't want to pay it, then don't! No one is forcing people to sail on Disney!
  5. I have not seen this policy yet, but that doesn't mean it is or isn't true. If I find out I will post.
  6. Yeah, I get it! And while I would love to have that in clients or for me personally it's a lot of money! But you have to pay it eventually anyway.
  7. It happens on suites- Ult Fam Suite - $42K . Had they booked next month it would be a $4200 NRD deposit - double what they paid in March. That's a chunk of change!
  8. They make a lot of money on change and cancellation fees! I don't see them changing that. I am disappointed in the higher deposit price, it's a lot easier to swallow losing $250 per person than $1000 per person, but again, Royal Caribbean will make money hand over fist on this.
  9. Sometimes I can send an iMessage when I'm not connected to the paid Internet. But I wouldn't rely on that.
  10. Most of the time the internet will work just fine. But Murphy's Law an everything- if it's critical, it won't work.
  11. This is exactly what Disney does- people are paying it, so they can charge it. There is no need for any cruising company to lower prices when people will pay their prices, exorbitant or not!
  12. I can tell you I was docked next to a rock cruise in 2022 and it was so loud on the deck that I could hear it from the next ship over, in my room with the balcony door closed. But the people looked like they were having fun!
  13. I despise bowling so that wouldn't help me. I did race cars on NCL Joy and loved it, so I'd probably choose that. However, I likely wouldn't do it if there was an cost involved onboard.
  14. One other thing- if you want a pre-night hotel your travel agent could book you through Delta Vacations or Southwest Vacations- add air and hotel in one.
  15. No, we can only handle flights as part of a cruise or land package. No flights on their own. There are several reasons for this, but one is that they don't pay commission and therefore we would have to charge fees to book the flights (which we aren't allowed to do). It's a liability.
  16. You also don't know if the party in the room next door to you will fit into the room you're asking them to move to. They might have 3 or 4 guests and your room only sleeps 2. Balcony does not equal balcony in all cases.
  17. My child got her first passport for her first cruise at 6 months old. I didn't want to risk anything happening and she wouldn't be able to get back home. I always have active passports for all of us. For me, peace of mind is well worth it.
  18. Not on the ship I was on lol. I do hear they have toned down a lot of activities/shows. But I saw no nudity during the parties.
  19. Virgin doesn't have this either.
  20. The hold time for TAs varies with the length of the cruise. Sometimes it's 3-4 days, sometimes it's a week. We can almost always extend the hold to about 2 weeks, depending. Almost is the key here.
  21. I used mine for dinner at Giovanni's Table. I have $2.82 remaining and that will just go toward onboard purchases.
  22. I have no opinion on the time of day really. But overall I think I like the idea of once per day.
