  1. Hey who says you have to be spry? All you will need is your eyes and possibly a hi-tech wheelchair contraption! Heck…you and I have been around long enough to know we can only imagine what technology will bring in the next 21 years!
  2. My guess is a lot of you will still be cruising so hope you can have an awesome CocoCay party! Me? I’ll be less than two months from turning 89…hmmm, perhaps ??? Longevity may be on my side…we’ll just have to wait and see! It certainly sounds like a Perfect Day at CocoCay!
  3. I believe many of us got 11am boarding. A few grabbed 10 and 10:30. Last time I checked the earliest available time now is 1:00pm.
  4. Happy Birthday @AshleyDillo! Wishing you many more to celebrate while cruising! Yesterday was my son’s 44th! Ughhh, no idea how that happened…those years just flew by! It turned into a great day as living in RI brought us about a 92% Eclipse, so all my grandkids were over and all my kids and it was just an awesome day celebrating . The grands absolutely loved seeing the Eclipse!
  5. I’m excited for all of you on this cruise! Since mine is the 2025 crossing…this one is where I am hoping to grab lots of ideas, opinions, packing tips, and do’s and don’ts! Ship details, excursions, weather, sea conditions…oh and one of my current questions….parking while gone for this length of time? That’s not asking for too much…is it?
  6. You are brave! Can’t wait to hear all about it…perhaps a pic or two? Congrats to both of you with your ‘almost getting even’ Deuces Wild win! Explorer is being very kind to you . Enjoy today!
  7. Cabanas and beds get assigned to you…no choosing. Unless, perhaps there are several empty ones that you possibly could ask to move to? Never needed to ask.
  8. So very sad for the family no matter what the details truly are. And also for the cruise line!
  9. News Update! Cruise Planner added Baha Bay Day and Lunch excursion for decent price and the Moms in my group wanted to switch! So…no more Margaritaville for us. Interesting point…when we only had Resort for A Day to use, the pricing was ridiculous as we were going to have to pay the Adult price for all the kids since they are all over 48”. So a family of 4 would cost $640 even though the Adult =$160 and Child =$65 because we weren’t able to use the Child price! Hence our decision to go to Margaritaville! Royal’s price for a family of 4 is $451.96 AND that includes lunch which the ResortaDay did not include! Oh and also a ride to the Resort instead of us walking to Margaritaville! After changing this I thought…Oh! I’ll be back in Nassau in September so I can check out Margaritaville then! Ummm, Nope cuz we will be on Utopia and with only a 4 day cruise we will need to use that day as a sea day to have enough time to check out and enjoy the ship!
  10. Yes! Try the chicken! I really think I remember it being pretty decent! Tell me I’m not crazy!
  11. OMG they need this awesome being on every ship and sailing! Will be interested in finding out just how much his humor laden threat actually works!
  12. To those wondering about Fish ‘N Ships…when I was on Indy in November we checked it out a few times. I didn’t try the fish but really liked the chicken fingers. Fries were so-so. If I remember correctly they even had a honey mustard dipping sauce for the chicken.
  13. Yay…something to look forward to! Definitely does make a difference
  14. Not sure if you are one to get off the ship or not but how is the atmosphere around the port? Are people getting off and walking around Bay St? Curious because there will be 14 of us walking from the port to Margaritaville next month. I’m asking this more for my daughter than for myself. I tend to be very low on the worry scale…my daughter (perhaps cuz she is such an awesome Mommy) is much higher on that scale!
  15. I’m with you…I had vowed to never again step off the ship while in Nassau. Also, the original itinerary for this 8 night cruise was only 2 stops…CocoCay and Labadee! Ha…I thought I was getting away with it easy and cheaply! We had already decided Port Canaveral would be a stay on ship day. However, this upcoming cruise includes 3 sets of parents (each of them have a son who is ‘besties’ with my younger grandson) who seem to be unable to “stay put” so to speak. They are planning some crazy fun activities for all of us! Also…it made no sense to stay on the ship for 7 of the 8 days…hence…finding something to do in Nassau! We shall see!
  16. We ended up booking Margaritaville. I look forward letting you know my thoughts about this excursion.
  17. Hello to Nassau fans! After losing our Labadee stop and having Nassau added, our group of 8 adults and 6 kiddos is looking for a fun adventure to help ease our disappointment. So…which should we choose (of course not even sure if we will have these options yet as our cruise planner is still a bit messed up)? I’m leaning towards Margaritaville since it’s a short walking distance from the ship but would we get more out of the Baha Mar experience? Thanks for any responses, opinions, recommendations!
  18. Let me know how you make out! Our sushi class was also discounted so would be interested to know if they will honor the price! Good luck!
  19. Typically if there is 3 people for a room you are searching and there are no 3 person rooms (which are far and few anyway) the system will show you rooms for 4 as your choice.
