  1. I ordered this for our cruise and it worked great ( have an android and the pictures were clear as day): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DNNWW8M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  2. If Indy has those, I'd be set! Thanks everyone! I'll have to wait and see (and possibly confirm when we're on board )
  3. I need to start off by saying I have the best in-laws ever! Two years ago after my husband and I came back from our honeymoon, we raved about our cruise and RC! Because of this, they wanted to book a family cruise! Well rona had other plans....until now! To make a very long story short, my in-laws canceled the beach house and booked a 4 day cruise on Independence for September this year through a travel agent. My husband got the confirmation email with the booking ID and when I looked in our cruise planner the cruise is not showing. When I went to link a cruise it originally showed, but now it doesn't and it's saying the reservation number is incorrect. I voiced this issue to my in-laws and they are going to reach out to the travel agent tomorrow. Has this happened to anyone before or can any travel agent help as to why this is happening? Appreciate the help!
  4. Thank you! I'm more concerned about the water being "left open". I'm weird (and extra ) when it comes to water. Mainly during the night if I need a drink, I don't have to worry about something floating in there. I'll most likely bring my tumbler anyways (this time around we aren't buying any drink packages. We are just using our many OBCs)
  5. If you click on the post Matt posted, it will bring you to that post (yes, there are some answers there)
  6. I know some ships (maybe all) are transiting to canned water. Can someone please tell me if Independence has canned or bottled water? My husband and I leave for Independence in 5 days and if they are canned water, I'll need to bring some tumblers for us (well me mainly). It's something about canned water and not being able to close it back up. Thanks
  7. They usually announce it (at least on ours they did).
  8. My husband and I did the same thing on Mariner, we went to see where our room was located and saw our luggage and just grabbed it.
  9. I think @Mattposted a video about leaving from NJ and what not to do or what you should do. I know it's on his YouTube channel but I am having trouble finding it....I think it's this one:
  10. 2 years since our last cruise and 2 canceled cruises later, we are finally down to 17 days!!
  11. I probably should know the answer to this, but do the ships (specifically Indy) have water filling stations? I'm weird and love drinking out of my Starbucks tumbler and I'm wondering if it's even worth it to bring it. My husband and I are still debating what beverage package we should get and I know with them you get the Coca Cola tumblers and water bottles anyway. I have no problem drinking bottled (or canned) water, but just curious (and weird) 25 DAYS AND COUNTING!!
  12. I'm pretty sure it opens at midnight. I happened to wake up in the middle of the night and check-in was open. The earliest we could get was 11:30 but I heard sometimes there is a 10:30 check-in option. If you happen to miss it, keep checking back because sometimes the earlier time slot will become available.
  13. I've had success emailing [email protected] Just let them know your sailing date and booking ID and explain that you would like a table for two. My husband and I did this on our honeymoon and are doing it next month. They emailed me back saying they forwarded my request to the the ship for processing but recommended me emailing them again 14 days prior to leaving just to confirm. For the most part, you will be able to get a table for two
  14. Thanks, Matt! I'll try calling again today to see what's up! I did mention to the agent last night what the sale was called and still had no clue!
  15. Hi all! It feels good to be back "on" the blog since my husband and I have finally booked a cruise after 2 years of missing them! We are sailing on 4/1 on Indy for 3 days and cannot wait! I saw Matt posted a blog that if you book a cruise this month and it sets sail between March and December of this year, you could get an extra $100 OBC. I called to see if this is true and they have no idea about this sale (even after quoting a sentence from the blog). I know Matt mentioned that it could take up to two weeks to show in your account too. This would be great if this is true. My husband and I would have $300 in OBCs ($100 from booking the fund and another $100 from playing MyVegas online). Has anyone else heard anything more about this or have seen anything hit their account? Also, it seems like most ships are still operating around 50% or less. With that being said, my husband and I are going to try RoyalUp for a Jr. Suite and we are wondering if anyone has bid the minimum amount and won? I started at $50 but he said go up to $100 for now. I'm wondering that since the ships seem to be operating at a lower capacity if we might have a better chance to upgrade our room (we booked a spacious balcony cabin in the front of the ship).
  16. Go for Mariner! Never been on Indy but I thought Mariner had some great bars! Plus, can't go wrong with an extra day!
  17. They let us so maybe it was their mistake
  18. Keep checking back if you want an earlier time. When our check-in opened up, they only had 1-3:30 open. I chose 1pm seeing that we could check-out of our hotel at noon. We are now 69 days away and they opened up the noon slot. I honestly think it's another RC IT issue. Plus with COIVD, the ship may sail away later than 6.
  19. Has anyone done this excursion in Cozumel? My husband and I are looking into this and would like to know more (time-all day or come and go as you please, food drinks available-do we need to bring cash) Thanks for any input!
  20. Thank you all so much for your feedback! Looks like this will be tonight's dinner discussion haha ?
  21. Hey everyone! My husband and I are going on a 5 day Western Caribbean in November on Adventure and I am wondering, for those who have been to Costa Maya and Cozumel, which excursions were your favorite? I've heard that the ruins are better in one place than the other...yes/no? Also, are the beaches and shops all within walking distance from the ship or should we look into getting a taxi? 86 days and counting! I can't wait! We haven't been on a cruise since January of 2020! We were supposed to be on Oasis last September but Rona had other plans!
  22. The same goes with mine! I received mine at our local convention center and the only thing that is handwritten are the dates. My husband went to CVS and they wrote the dates and location. I just logged into my online chart with my doctor's office and printed the page showing when I got the two doses. I'm adding it with my vax card! We leave on Adventure from Galveston in 93 days and I am not about to risk being denied boarding! We have waited far too long to this! It's so sad that people are creating fake vax cards because they are beginning to ruin it for others ?
  23. My husband and I have been into Palomas lately (tequila-we prefer espolon, grapefruit juice and soda water or Fresca)!
