First meal from empty WJ as it just opened. Beef curry that was actually spicy & fried rice. Went back for more curry. Not sure why the Indian food in the MDR is so mild compared to WJ.
 

Incredibly already met @OCSC Mike and his lovely bride during boarding. I can confirm car to bar in 15 mins 

That’s a wrap for us. The end of an era for our family and our March Break sailings as 4. 🥹 I will leave you all with a few pics.

Final thoughts on the Royal Loft Suite:
I don’t know how I am going to come back from this cabin. But I will have to find a way to. We cherished our time in our room this week.

The hot tub was used every day, we spent time on the balcony every day. It was so awesome to have all the space, most times I would shout something to the kids and they would not even hear me. There was almost too much space in that room, but that is not a complaint lol 

I loved everything about that suite, but if I was to point out two things that I did not like, it would be the noise from the back sports area, and the master shower. You can hear everything from the basketball area, FlowRider, even Aqua80 if you are out on the balcony. This room has pretty much helped us decide that that we would never want a crown loft that faces the aft. Way too much noise. The master shower area is not that private. When we were parked next to Carnival Mardi Gras in Nassau, I really felt like I had to duck because the upper decks of that ship are almost as high as oasis. Next to Freedom in PDCC I did not feel as visible. However, if one is in the shower at night, and someone else is in the hot tub, well let’s just say they will most definitely get a very well lit shadow puppet show if you are using the shower closest to the window. 🙈

Our Genie Shane 💜
We have known Shane since 2019 so there was already some familiarity here. However, we have learned this week that knowing Shane, and having him as our Genie are two different things.
There are Genies, and then there is Shane. That is the best way I can describe our experience with him. We have never had terrible genie in any of our sailings, but Shane stands out not because of the grandiose gestures, but the small little things all throughout the week. Those small little things, add up to reflect a Genie who adores his job, genuinely listens to his guests, and takes time to build a relationship with them. This is why people adore Shane.
Any genie can send food, decorate, and throw a party, but very few will become unforgettable because their thoughtful small gestures truly show that their guests, and their satisfaction, are their number one priority. This is Shane. He is all that, and more, a truly unique Genie.

Final thoughts on this sailing overall:
There were a ton of kids this week, but expected because it’s spring break. Some kids were parented well, some not so much. The elevators were slow and stuffy all week. Not sure if that is because our last sailing was Icon and we were totally spoiled by those destination elevators. Overall, service was excellent, and food was pretty decent throughout. 
Oasis is showing its age in some areas, but not unexpected. Rumour has it that they will be refreshing some guest areas and cabins during dry dock. Time will tell.

Left Deck 17 at 8:10am. On the curb by 8:25am. Our Lyft that we ordered was cancelled 😡 but thank goodness it only took 5 mins to grab another. Lines were long at MIA but we made it to our gate by 9:40am. 

Back to real life.  We left our room at 6:30.  7:15 gangway was open.  Very easy as they had 4 lines open.  In Uber by 7:30, at FLL by 8am, time for food for kids and about to board our 9:25 am flight.  I know it’s not what’s recommended but we’ll take the chance to be home by 1 pm and have the afternoon to get ready for the week.   We’ve done it this way several times and so far so good. 
 
Great blog as always!  We missed you in the pub last night. 
 
 Our countdown is 71 days and I can’t wait! 
 
 

Will do final thoughts when I get to the airport tomorrow. Off to bed for a few hours sleep. 

After dinner, we swung by The Shop to replace Hubby’s soot covered UV shirt. I told him he could still wear the old one, but he said it looks like it’s moldy. 

Then, we swung by the pub to say goodbye to @recogneyes and her Hubby. Walked in at the same time as Andrew & Lisa, and we all had a few more laughs. They stayed and we headed back to the room to complete the dreaded packing. 
 Tomorrow we are self carrying everything off as usual. Shane said we need to vacate the room by 8:30am but we will be gone before that. 

Dinner was back at Giovanni’s. 

The rest of the afternoon was spent doing our own thing. Hubby went back to the FlowRider one last time, D17 went to soak up some more sun, D15 went to do one last trivia, and me? Spent more time in this gorgeous room. 

I should have left it. After @LandstromCruise cruise commented on it, it was quite funny! 
 
Totally agree! Also cannot ever swing that until I retire. 6 more years….
 

After Izumi, Hubby and the kids went ice skating. There were a few other SC families there and they ended up giving them an hour long session. 
 

A week is definitely too short. We've decided that Symphony is our last week long cruise, unless it's a B2B. I feel like you just got on the ship. 
We also skipped Cats on our first time in Oasis. You all have been way too vocal about it to fall for that. We told Lety we were skipping it and she didn't even try to change our minds. 😆

D15 has maxed out. Food coma has hit. She did not even make it to the end of the meal lol

Grills tiki deck jamming with boozing and live music. 

Back at port for lunch. Today it’s Grills which we love. Started with Bahamian chowder and had shrimp Cuban with a local Florida IPA. Delish as always. 

Your hubby is lucky you are relaxed and y’all have teenage daughters. Zero chance I’d be allowed to hang at the flowrider that much with my insane clown posse sons.
