  1. My wife and I had thought we had used all of our FCC from the cancelled cruises of this past year. Royal Caribbean apparently never forgets. Yesterday both of us got emails reminding us of the credit available and how to use it for either a future cruise or for a previously scheduled cruise that had not been paid off. So we went thru the website Royal provided and paid off all but $65 of a November cruise. I am thankful for Royal contacting us this way.
  2. It is a sushi rolling class, but it is fun. I did it on Allure and will do it on my next cruise. I did enjoy eating it afterwards.
  3. We have received the same email... I think I'll send them an empty envelope.
  4. I signed up because, like all of us, we miss cruising. But maybe even a bigger reason was that maybe I could help get us all back to cruising sooner by going thru the process, that would be a good thing.
  5. Of course, there will be another one added, "I am so glad to be back cruising!"
  6. https://cruiseline.com/advice/what-s-hot/news/norwegian-cruise-line-new-health-safety-protocol?fbclid=IwAR3-16nGxLl5V8933-qxwvriX8ObAMUrw9Eaf_YEWe-7u1bn4enNcVIvUbc Anyone think Royal will have these kind of guidelines
  7. Thank you! I thought so, but you didn't know.
  8. My wife has some severe food allergies. Royal is always helpful to prepare variations on regular dishes in MDR. But, we haven't had that good of luck at the specialty dining locations. We have the same problem on land based restaurants. So we seldom eat out either on land or sea. I love sushi. She can't eat anything at Izumi. On the other hand I can and would eat everything there. So my question is can I get take out for lunch at Izumi?
  9. If I am wearing some more than jeans or shorts and have socks on, I am dressed up. I wore a suit for 40 years, so not going to voluntarily wear one on a cruise. I wear a shirt, usually untucked and pants. Why should I care about what someone thinks who I will never see again?
  10. Saying that it will rain every day in the Caribbean or in the Summer here in Florida simply means there is a chance for rain not that it will rain. There are no tropical storms now, so you might get some rain showers. Truthfully, weather forecasters are much like the people on ESPN telling you who will win on Sunday... they are not always accurate.
  11. That was the way it was on Independence last week. But what a fun class!
  12. Especially ask them how long since they've been home. Everyone likes talking about their home when they've been gone for several months. I've always learned something and they remember you.

  15. We had a 10 person table on Mariner. Most of us were middle age but there was one older couple who complained about the service (which was terrific) and the fact that they hadn't been invited to dinner with the Captain and they had on every other cruise. They were real pains as they talked about what experienced cruisers they were and that the ship was like staying in a Days Inn That night they complained to the Maître D' and were moved. In their place we got a young couple on their honeymoon cruise. They were perfect and we had so much fun. We laughed and told stories. The next night the waiter said that the older couple wanted back, but we had to agree to asking the young couple to trade. We voted unanimously to stay the way we now were. While we were still eating the old couple came by and said that we should invite them back. We all acted like we didn't remember them at all.
  16. Ahhh, thanks for the quick answer! We've been on the Oasis class for the last few years so we always tried to book early. Appreciate it!
  17. When do they generally open up entertainment for reservations? We are 66 days out on Independence.
