That's a huge upgrade to get!..
I wouldn't be complaining or worrying about it!
You don't need to worry about cigarette smoke in your room and I am not sure what you mean by safety.
-
I have done mostly inside, cpl times ocean view and the last time had a virtual balcony.
I have to tell you, it really looks and feels like looking out a door/window!
Person I travelled with was very apprehensive about having an inside room, but she couldn't get over how real it felt.....from the sound to the views etc.
It's defn an option I would suggest ppl check out as these rooms aren't usually much more than an inside room.

I am old school...using a Blackberry and there is no app available for me. So only way to play on phone will be logged into my facebook account.....wont be an issue I am sure? if anything, maybe easier to keep track and add up the points quicker?!

Quick question...when you mention playing this game on your mobile, I am assuming that its still through your Facebook account log in?
Defn interested in taking a look at this....even if not a free cruise, some free OBC is a great bonus as well. And I would have the option of playing throughout the day so maybe able to quickly add up those points.

These prices above listed are not normal prices for Miami I can assure you....$79 hardly gets you a hostel bed in Miami.
While everyone will find deals every no and then....."I booked this cruise for $150"..........normal hotel rooms run expensive in Miami. Check out travel board on TA or CC and you will get an idea of what to expect.
Double Tree in April...cheapest is about $170 with average price over $200/night......

I had read something that they were only offering to pay for their flights home up to $300 at the next port.
I think this was a long cruise...16 days or something and this was the second issue on the cruise already?
I just skimmed a news article or two about it so not firsthand information.
Either way, these issues are not fun. But I would rather be stuck in port I think. Although it did say that the power on the ship was still working and bars/restaurants/entertainment was proceeding as normal so really....
-
I think it would be the 4 nighter cruise...so they have lost 25% so far...but apparently RCI is giving OBC and Future cruise certificates as well as free drinks and shore excursions...doesn't sound all bad to me to be honest....could be ALOT worse!

Free airport shuttle and port shuttle really depends on the price of the hotel room as to if its "free" or not...
Not sure what the OP considers affordable....but often I have seen rooms in Miami that cost as much or more than my cruise did.....and they came with "free" airport and port shuttle's....lol.
-
Start looking ASAP is my best advice!
Miami can be one of the most expensive port cities in North American to try and find a hotel in.
Not many offer airport AND port shuttle for free. And if it is, its the more expensive rooms..like $300/night or so.
Most hotels around the airport will offer free airport shuttle and usually a port shuttle for around $10/person.
Keep in mind that the flat rate from the airport to port and vice versa is $27 for a cab so something to consider as well depending on your group!

Its a good deal for the ship and the balcony rate I think for 9 nights.....
weather is still nice up this way then..porb low 70's or higher on some days.
Leaves wont have changed by then but it will certainly be a different cruise than going south.
But why not do something different, its a good deal and the wife will be happy!

I enjoy reading at home..but I find that on vacation there is too much else to see and do. I brought a book ONCE with me to an all-inclusive(which is even quieter and less to do and see) and I ended up forgetting about it and left it on the nightstand for the whole week.
That being said, I always see lots of ppl reading on a cruise, usually in some quieter areas...I am sure there is something about sitting there, looking out over the sea, feeling the breeze and enjoying a good book!
-
Always pre-book it.....
a) you have the chance to watch for a sale and get it cheaper in the meantime
b) its nice to walk on the ship with it already on your card...the bars and sign up desks can get quite busy that first day if you decide you want to purchase it then....so its one less thing to worry about once on board.
-
Yes...my 20% off ended up costing $44 a day..plus the 18% grats......it seems to vary from time of day to ship to time of year to who knows.......
-
That's a big drop for sure!!..about 25%.....that's great.
I don't understand many of RCI's sales and promo's...doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason...but any savings, we'll take!!
-
I noticed on my last cruise..that the room attendant had a copy of the dinner menu on his cart.....
-
if the main concern is having your family eating together earlier rather than later, then MTD is the answer...even better than getting an "early" seating as it provides more flexibility.
if the main concern is having the same wait staff each night.....well that's a different issue.
-
wow...that is a deal....although I would hate to see what you must have first paid for your rooms if you got $800 off each one and they are still not free!...ha
I haven't noticed anything great as I was looking for a friend today who wants to travel in April......prices look the same to me for the most part as they have for the past 6 mths...
-
would be nice if they provided a menu for Room Service....on Navigator it's not available on the TV and there is nothing in the rooms...you have to call every time and ask what the options are...then see what everyone wants and then call back to order.....
makes me think they are trying to discourage rooms service being used.
First time I noticed this.
-
If there are still openings now for the early seating a call to them should take care of it.
if not, then you would have to wait till on board to talk to them...or look into MTD perhaps?
-
Sounds like a great time and what a line up!!!.....
Couple of real good ones there I would enjoy!.......and sounds like my kind of party cruise!
I'll have to keep my eyes open for 2018 and what's out there. I know Carnival did some of these type things a cpl years ago...but I believe it was just one act/band on each cruise.
-
I was getting all excited thinking Liberty was coming to NJ...as long as it kept similar pricing to what it has now out of Galveston! Some of the cheapest deals on the 7 day cruises for Canadian prices anyways.
Texas always seems to have some good pricing for their cruises...too bad its such a far drive and/or expensive flights into that area for us.
-
Still had it on mine last week..showed the UP sticker...
-
Every cruise that I have been on they have those meet ups listed on the cruise compass. Usually 3-4 different times a day at various places.
On my last cruise it looks like they added a letter to include more?..LGBTQ
Majesty sailing late again?

No..it was scheduled maintenance.....people that were travelling on this cruise knew a few weeks in advance that there would be a delay
