  1. I only speak tourist New England, but I believe you'd have to spell it "WorcestSox" then. On second thought, I see the PR nightmare that possible phonetic issues could cause for outsiders. Never mind. Seriously though, MiLB is fantastic. I'm a 15-20 minute drive to the Trenton Thunder. Before the Yankees characteristically stabbed them in the back and withdrew their affiliation status without warning, I saw a number of Yankees stars rehabbing and making their way up through the system. Not a Yankees fan AT ALL, but witnessing greatness is witnessing greatness, plus Bat Dogs!
  2. Now, I'm just a simple Mid-Atlantic type, but given the pronunciation of Worcester, are they the "Wu Sox," the "Wor Sox," or do they break all New England norms and just pronounce it how it is spelled?
  3. Wait, is there another camp??
  4. They seem to be having a terrible time verifying my card as well. I got my first two shots at one of the "Mega-Centers," so it has a CDC printed sticker complete with QR code so large that the same center had to put my 2nd shot information on the back (with a similarly sized sticker that I also included a picture of on the app). My kids and wife had theirs done at local drug stores with the information handwritten in and had theirs were accepted immediately. I'm not the least bit concerned (the center is in the state that I'm cruising out of, so I'm sure the port personnel are familiar with the layout), and I suppose it makes sense that seemingly any little abnormality cause the system to freak out a bit.
  5. Looks like that resort may have instituted RCI's $25 per towel policy, too!
  6. We'll be on board with you. If you see someone in an old Coast Guard ball cap ineffectively chasing down two energetic boys, feel free to say hi and I'll buy you a drink.
  7. I think there may be a crossed wire here? I'm guessing that @Ksucat is assuming this is an Oasis cruise that uses Port Canaveral as their embarkation/debarkation port. I've seen the KSC tour/Airport transfer excursion offered on ships that end at Port Canaveral. In August, Oasis is still sailing out of Bayonne, so Port Canaveral is just a regular port stop. From what I'm hearing, you may have dodged a bullet here anyway, @RCIfan1912. Oasis arrives at the pier so late in the day that people's trips to KSC have reportedly been very rushed.
  8. It's not the prettiest presentation, but here's the menu off the app.
  9. This is more than fair, I can't imagine showing up to a restaurant barefoot OR without a shirt. Thank you all for your feedback!
  10. I know this thread is several years old, but it was the only one I saw related to my oddly specific question: if I order an anniversary decoration set to be delivered on day #1, do they just show up in a bag, or are they put up for you? Not a deal breaker, but just curious.
  11. So, a quick question about the restaurant at the Coco Cay Beach Club. I've seen photos, and it looks lovely, which led me think: what is the expectation regarding attire? I mean, it's a beach club, so I know we're not looking at "smart casual" or anything, but should you change into dry shorts before coming in? Is having a towel around your waist okay? Just wondering how dry you should be, not only for expectations sake, but to be respectful of the next guests following us. I certainly don't mind changing, but also don't want to take the time to change two pre-teen boys before lunch if it doesn't matter. Any insight is appreciated! TIA!
  12. This is my normal nightcap at home, except I tend to use Crabbie's alcoholic ginger beer vs. Gosling since Kraken doesn't have QUITE enough of a kick.
  13. Just a +1 on this comment. Literally the same experience.
  14. As a former casino employee, I found this simultaneously fascinating and unsurprising: https://pressofatlanticcity.com/news/casinos_tourism/report-smoking-bans-no-longer-a-threat-to-casino-revenue-in-ac-other-markets/article_88f78efe-ee7e-11ec-87eb-b71a03425db0.html
  15. Oh yeah, I DEFINITELY had a Genie overseeing all of my daily activities!
  16. Not only that, but YEARS before iFly, the Coast Guard offered a similar feature on their Island Class cutters. With berthing up near the bow of a ship that rode like a cork, when you were pushing through rough seas you could find yourself suddenly awake hovering above your rack for a hot second. Good times in the "anti-gravity chamber!"
  17. Different port and company, but I did a similar tour in Cozumel. My wife & I were paired up with another couple in a jeep, and the groups were basically left on their own to decide the driving/seating location situation. In our case, we had a manual and I was the only one in the jeep who could drive stick, so that settled that decision.
  18. Absolutely. I was using check in and boarding time interchangeably, which of course they are not! Thank you for clarifying that!
  19. To say I was surprised is an understatement.
