  1. I love hiding ducks, I purchased my ducks from Oriental Trading and had stickers made on Etsy.
  2. To everyone on this sailing, I'm am so happy for you! Have a fantastic time, stay warm, we are with you in Spirit. One day I hope to be able to join you on one of these. Looking forward to your trip reports. Cheers to all and have an awesome sailing!
  3. As long as my 5 vouchers remain, I'm happy. The lounge is great, but I will take the vouchers remaining over the lounge loss, and the Diamond lounge is still available so not really a lost amenity. When the voucher times email arrived, I admit my breath hitched, I was like oh no, please don't take away my vouchers. I'm pretty happy with the loyalty amenities. While the pins taking over the suite lounge when I'm in a suite isn't ideal, I don't book a suite for the suite lounge so if it gives them joy so be it. Most of them are super sweet, and the jerky entitled ones we ignore, win, win, win!
  4. For what it's worth they serve complimentary ice tea as well, I ask for un sweetened and it's oddly bitter yet oddly slightly sweet. It's just weird. I actually enjoy the lemonade though. The ships water isn't terrible either. I usually get ice water with every meal.
  5. @Karen Wardle if it's been inside of 30 days go to the home page here and fill in the particulars. I use @Sharla [email protected] and her email communications are lightening fast. But if you are comfortable submit the info and someone will reach out here as well, this is how i met Sharla. Good luck with your planning, hoping for you it's within 30 days since you started this process and they will get things sorted ASAP.
  6. @smokeybandit that's great! I think its a nice itinerary, and 8 nights should be a nice Holiday. I will hide a duck outside your cabin....don't trip on it!! There's a great video on that grand suite ....
  7. @Sharla to the rescue! June 7, 2024 8 night southern with coco cay, under 8K Adventure of the Seas. I sent her an email to book it 0500 this morning and it was booked before 0800hrs. Seriously impressed, she used my Next Cruise certificate as well. I was just nervous because I wanted that Royal suite on that itinerary in June, only one Yay Sharla!!!
  8. @Lovetocruise2002 I sent Sharla an email but can I put something on hold myself until she gets to it? Do I just call?
  9. @teddy I was sure it would be today thought they would be loaded last night. I sent @Sharla an email with what to be on the look out for, armed her with my Next Cruise and nothing....Gees. I thought when that previous fagezze "sale" was done the release would be on its heels. Fingers crossed its tomorrow I don't know how much more I can take!! LOL!! Seriously how is it I can't wait to hand over my money? To add insult to injury, my reading for this weekend. I need to book this before reading for sure, page two probably says, don't cruise!
  10. The universe has her reasons. You just may enjoy the similar itinerary as well. Focus on the positives of this trip, and make the best of it with those you hold dear. Enjoy every minute of the experience, so very disappointing express your sadness maybe they toss in some OBC or a nice dinner. I have learned in my 50 + years on the beautiful earth in a situation such as this to be positive and go with it, tell yourself this was meant to be and I'm going to have the best holiday! What ever you choose, I wish you happiness
  11. @dmattinsonThank you so much for sharing. I like you enjoy the Oasis class just a bit better. Wasn't a fan of the Book and had the same experience at the 270 Cafe which we visited frequently as I really enjoyed the offerings. (12/2021) She is a very pretty ship but a one and done for me. The WJ was very pretty on this ship. We thought it offered amazing seating options as well.. With the flooding floor did they offer to move you to another cabin? Give you OBC? Was it an issue in all accessible cabins on this class?
  12. Yes this! Sunny, this is why I tried it. Well, was I missing out? Also the amazing fun filled Star Class posts by others sounded amazing. I am so glad we did it, but I love Sky, that is our Suite spot. We require very little, and sometimes I was overwhelmed by everything. Don't get me wrong, if I found a great price I would consider again but I can sail 2X for the price of one Star sailing in Sky probably 2.5 on another class of ship. We are D+ so we have great amenity with that. I enjoyed the Star experience I did, but it was a total splurge for me. I find more fun and value being/feeling like I am just a little more fiscally conservative. It's amazing for sure, but I'm my own genie
  13. OMG so funny. One lovely lady had it on her shirt and tattooed on her ankle in addition to a big anchor necklace, she beamed with pride which made me smile. They are very territorial when it comes to that lounge.
  14. On our Serenade sailing while staying in a suite we were greeted by a letter from the C&A ambassador stating as D+ we were not permitted in the concierge lounge. There were 39 pins on board and the concierge lounge was standing room only from about 1530 until maybe 1900. It emptied out by then. The Diamond lounge across the way was just as crowded, the concierges had lines at their desks constantly. I felt that the suite amenity was impacted greatly, just charge me less for the suite and make it a Pinnacles lounge. It was mostly uncomfortable in that tiny space.
  15. I agree with @WAAAYTOOOin the fact that the "good" SC fares are gone, but lately I feel the same about most of the offerings, just so much more then we have ever paid. My experience was the "cheapest" SC was the Panoramic Suite at the front of the Oasis of the Seas. That one is the first one I booked that I felt I could fiscally wrap my head around. A Star Loft opened last minute for not much more that sailing & I had FCC burning a hole in my pocket at the time, so I sailed in that one but at the end of the day my research had that suite ( the panoramic front one) coming in the lowest. It was a spring break sailing. To clarify the Ultimate Panoramic on deck 14
  16. Yes, when we were on the Oasis in March we had a similar situation. They were moving the Genie's around to different ships, it was sorted but probably 2 weeks out. We were assigned one and then she was moved as well, the young man we were assigned was simply wonderful.
  17. Could be the price point is really off right now. I can see them canceling everyone and then poof 3 months before you sail being offered again....at double the price. This happened to me on a previous Royal excursion this past summer.
  18. That was really so interesting. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! While I'm not sure we could ever cruise that much on Royal, I really enjoyed hearing about the monumental achievement!
  19. Well said! I had emailed the concierge who told me he was in communication with the passengers that had booked the suites that my RUB's were for, so I believed my bids would ultimately be unsuccessful. The Royal Suite & the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom Owners suite, again they were spoken for. (Serenade of the Seas Thanksgiving week) Hours later I was awarded the ability to pay a little bit more for the upgraded cabin and my cabin assignment changed. (The 2 bed OS) We believe the family who had intended to sail were hit with/by that freak snow storm up north & flights were canceled like crazy. I was shocked for sure, this was on the 17th I was set to sail the 19th. I bid 29 times in total during my cruising tenure, I am 28 losses & 1 award. My Loyalty amenities were not there but I visited the LA and she did get it sorted, it did take 2 attempts.
  20. On the Mariner in June we had the panoramic suite 1854 I believe. It was a big room with a bath and a half. The suite amenities were not there, tea kettle, no. Ice bucket, gone. Only one trash can in the entire cabin, when I asked for an additional one he said it was "broken" When I asked for a cruise compass I thought his head would explode. He had many, many other cabins, we were his only suite so I get he was working probably at his limit. We paid extra in gratuity at the on set for the suite, this was the first time EVER in 20 cruises we did not feel extra gratuity was warranted. The only time he spoke to us was towards the end of the sailing, then he would say hello when we saw him in the hallway. ( the next to last day) We want for very little, I empty the garbage into one and hang towels that are not soiled or used just to dry off after a shower. We like many of you keep a very tidy cabin out of respect for the hard working staff. This was the one and only time we felt we over paid in the gratuity dept. An ice bucket with ice did show up mid sailing but by that time I was over it.
  21. I asked about the towel animals on our last sailing, the answer....it's a cost savings "green" thing. My stateroom attendant said the towel animals must be laundered every time, so every animal, (all the towels used to make it) every cabin demands extra towel laundry thus costing in this area. I thought it had to do with time management, but it's under the saving energy etc. umbrella. Who knew? Not me! Just wow!
  22. @Matt regarding gratuities for suite guests. Does the extra amount a suite guest pays go to the stateroom attendant because the suite is a larger size? Is the suite concierge included thus making the gratuity more? Other then paying more for a bigger cabin we don't see the reasoning behind the extra cost. When in any dining venue we are just 3 additional people enjoying what everyone else is. Does Royal give an explanation for the extra money? Again, I know about this going in just trying to understand why, not just " because you are in a suite"
  23. @Jolly Ogre lol, so sorry yes 2 thoughts there. I was just on the Serenade. I would love to see Mama Mia again (Allure) OR sail out of Tampa which I really enjoyed.
