  1. If you eat in Coastal Kitchen during the suite Happy Hour times, most time the wait staff include your drinks ordered as free happy hour drinks. I believe those hours are 430-730. Although it is not written anywhere, Oasis class ships serve free beer and wine in the suite lounge from 11am-11pm. This was the case when we last sailed in January. You can have the concierge make your Coastal Kitchen reservations when they reach out about a week before sailing.
  2. If you wish to not pay gratuities for the 2 yr old, you can go to guest services and ask them to remove that charge from your account. I have never done this, but was at guest services when someone next to me was having this done on their account.
  3. Just did the Ovation itinerary on Quantum in reverse in October. Loved the number of days at seas and we spent a few days in Hawaii afterwards. I want to sail Icon but I think I’ll wait another year or so. I’m team Ovation on this one.
  4. I echo messaging them through Twitter, as I have always gotten a response that is well researched also! Do you have the Royal Caribbean App, it showed up there under my future cruises with a reservation number.
  5. I love the Oasis class but my favorite adults only Solarium would be on Ovation. I also love the 270 theatre on Ovation which is a wonderful place to sit and watch the ocean go by if you’re not a sun worshipper. That being said, Central Park on Oasis class edges out the others.
  6. I have a January cruise and want to get a yearly policy with Allianz. it won’t let me book a yearly policy beginning after September 9. Trawick which I’ve used before lets me book to at least days before my cruise for it to begin. I guess I’ll have to wait if I decide to use Allianz!
  7. One of our last cruises we were a member of a Facebook page for that cruise. A member of that Facebook group organized, a “magnet share”. Whomever wanted to participate, commented on that Facebook page with our room numbers. Each person participating brought a magnet representing the state that they were from. Once on the cruise, we delivered our magnets to each door. It was entertaining to see all the different states and countries that ended up on our door.
  8. According to the Royal Caribbean, deck lands it is an ultra spacious ocean view room, which appear to be located on deck 11 only. You can search those rooms on YouTube and find a few short videos.
  9. There is usually a bag that includes everything you can put in it for around $35. Some higher loyalty levels offer discounts on that. Helpful hint: roll all your clothes to go in bag and you will get more in it.
  10. We booked CP balcony 10229, one of the CP balconies with the extra space. Since this ship is more like Wonder, I am hoping that extra space continuesbut the deck lans don’t show an area across the adjoining wall like the others do.
  11. She is also a teacher and that’s her spring break. It was a decent price though for that time of year, all things considered!!!
  12. 3/31? That’s when I am booked with my sister. Booked a Central Park balcony. I’ve never sailed that so thought that was a nice time to try since I couldn’t ask her to pony up suite prices!!!
  13. And as it works out we will earn our Crystal block on that Utopia cruise!
  14. I booked a 4 day in March 2025 with my sister who has never cruised. We booked a boardwalk balcony. My husband seemed a bit hurt I wasn’t experiencing it with him first when I told him so I booked a November 2024 3 day with him in a Junior Sky suite!
  15. Yes, we are sailing from Galveston in January and figured it will be a good day before it warms.
  16. @Linda R what did you prefer on Symphony over Harmony? Any advice is appreciated.
  17. If I remember correctly the car rental at the airport is off site just down from it. Because of that it makes it easy to pick the car up at the airport. We took a taxi from the port to the car rental area at the airport and picked the car up there and returned it there before flying outa few days later.
  18. Never too early to start planning for a RC cruise. Just recently booked this as we have never sailed this itinerary or this coast. We are from Louisville KY and this will be our second time on Navigator. We enjoyed the ship in2018 before it was amped and we are super excited to see all the amplifications. Join us in introducing your self and sharing your experiences.
  19. Pretty far in the future but in my opinion it’s never to early to book, plan and get excited for a cruise. First time on Harmony and first time out of Galveston. We’ve sailed Oasis (twice) and Allure as far as Oasis class and love them. On this cruise we hope to share the 2 BR ATS with our son and his wife. We are from Louisville Kentucky. Join me in introducing yourself.
  20. Join an Adventure of the Seas FB group and ask if anyone will be sailing on the ship soon. Private message them about purchasing one and mailing to you.you can venmo, PayPal or Apple pay them the amount spent. Possibly visit a future Adventure roll call on this blog and do the same.
  21. If your airline charges baggage fees you will still need to do that. I’m not sure how it is done if you don’t take care of it in advance but you can prepay luggage for most airlines at anytime.
  22. It didn’t feel wrong until I found this blog and now I book when the new schedule of cruises is released (some 2 1/2 yrs in advance). Only thing is I miss scheduling in between all that. For us cruises are getting longer and longer. We have yet to do a B2B but I think I see that in the future !
